David was outstanding to work with from start to finish. His professionalism, communication, and attention to detail made the entire RV rental experience smooth and stress-free. The RV was exactly as described—clean, well-maintained, and ready to go. He took the time to walk me through everything and made sure I was comfortable before hitting the road. I truly appreciate the level of care he showed and would highly recommend renting from him. I’d definitely rent from David again!

Excellent Campervan Experience We recently rented a campervan to travel to Savannah and Northern Georgia. We had a great time, thanks to the excellent orientation provided by Morgan. We truly had everything we needed, from a French Press to start our days out right to a comfy bed that accommodated two adults comfortably. It was an amazing experience, with all the comforts of home while still being able to connect with nature. Morgan was a phenomenal host and we can't recommend him highly enough!

If you find yourself lucky enough to be able to book David's trailer, do it, You will not be disappointed. David is great to work with - helped us get everything set up correctly to tow ourselves and walked us through how everything works on the trailer. The trailer is so well set-up -it has everything you need but it's not cluttered leaving you plenty of space to bring in your own belongings. It was pretty cold at night when we were camping but the heater kept us toasty. the kids loved the bunk beds. The bathroom had a small tub which we didn't use but I liked knowing I could have had the kids gotten (more) muddy. We towed with a Kia Telluride - it was probably the limit of what it could tow but it did just fine for the shorter distance we were going. We probably should have just had David deliver it for us but we wanted to test out how well the Telluride towed.

We visited from Florida and decided to try out camper rental for the first time to avoid carrying so much stuff...Best decision made! Not only was the camper itself, new, very clean nice and roomy enough for three of us, but we were provided everything for cooking, cleaning and outdoor entertainment. David was very accommodating to our arrival time and with a half hour notice dropped the camper and made sure he show us how to work everything. Would highly recommend them for your next getaway adventure and looking forward to our next trip up!!! David was very friendly, responded within minutes.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Blue Ridge, GA

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Blue Ridge, GA?

RV rental in Blue Ridge is affordable compared to typical mountain getaways, especially when you split the cost between family or friends. On RVezy, expect to pay roughly $95-$175 per night for travel trailers, $150-$275 for Class C motorhomes, and $200-$400 for larger Class A rigs, with pricing climbing during fall foliage weekends in October. For cheap RV rental Blue Ridge options, target weekdays or shoulder months like late April or early November when hosts often drop nightly rates. Pro tip: book a travel trailer if you already have a tow vehicle, or filter for delivery so you skip the hitch setup and still enjoy a full Blue Ridge RV trip.

What license do I need to rent an RV in Blue Ridge?

Good news for first-timers: your regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Blue Ridge. Georgia does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or any special motorhome endorsement for the Class B campervans, Class C motorhomes, travel trailers, or larger Class A rigs you'll find on RVezy. RVezy approved drivers are generally 25 or older, and your ID is verified inside the platform during booking, so there are no extra trips to a notary or DMV. Visiting from outside the US? Bring your home country license plus an International Driving Permit and you're set to roll into the North Georgia mountains.

Is my RV rental protected if something happens on the trip?

Yes, every Blue Ridge RV rental booked through RVezy automatically includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you're covered before you even pull out of the host's driveway. The protection plan covers most physical damage to the vehicle, which means a minor scrape on an Aska Road switchback or a rock chip from Highway 515 won't ruin your trip. RVezy offers different protection tiers, and you choose your coverage level during checkout, not the host. It gives renters real financial peace of mind so you can focus on Lake Blue Ridge sunsets instead of worst-case scenarios.

What happens if I need to cancel my Blue Ridge RV trip?

Plans change, and RVezy makes it low-risk to book a Blue Ridge RV trip well in advance. RVezy, not individual hosts, sets the cancellation policy, and there's a money-back grace period right after you book so you can lock in a peak fall foliage week in October without feeling stuck. After that window, refunds depend on how far out you are from your trip start date, and RVezy has provisions for situations like natural disasters or severe weather, which matters in a mountain region prone to occasional ice storms. For full current details, review the RVezy cancellation policy before booking, then reserve your dream rig with confidence.

Can I bring my dog on an RV rental in Blue Ridge?

Absolutely, Blue Ridge is one of the most dog-friendly mountain towns in the Southeast, and plenty of hosts offer pet-friendly RV rental Blue Ridge options. Just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter on RVezy to see rigs that welcome dogs, and message the host about size or breed details before booking. Once you arrive, your pup will love the leash-friendly trails at Aska Adventure Area, the dog beach at Morganton Point on Lake Blue Ridge, and the off-leash KampK9 dog park at the Blue Ridge/Toccoa River KOA. Many downtown patios on East Main Street also welcome dogs, so bring the leash and enjoy a true family RV trip Blue Ridge style.

Can the RV be delivered to my campground in Blue Ridge?

Yes, RV delivery Blue Ridge is one of the easiest ways to skip the stress of towing or driving an unfamiliar rig through mountain switchbacks. Many RVezy hosts will deliver your motorhome or travel trailer straight to popular spots like the Blue Ridge/Toccoa River KOA, Morganton Point Campground, or Blue Ridge RV Resort, then level it, hook up water and power, and walk you through every system before they leave. Just filter for Delivery on RVezy and message the host with your campsite number. Pro tip: delivery is especially smart if it's your first time renting an RV, because you'll arrive to a fully set up site and start your vacation immediately.

How far can I drive from Blue Ridge on a typical RV rental?

You've got incredible range from Blue Ridge for a classic Southern Appalachian RV road trip. Many RVezy hosts include a daily mileage allowance (often 100-150 miles per day) with affordable per-mile rates after that, and some even offer RV rental with unlimited mileage on request. Popular drives include the Cherohala Skyway in Tennessee (about 70 miles northwest), Great Smoky Mountains National Park near Cherokee, NC (90 miles), Helen, GA's Bavarian village (55 miles east), and Chattanooga, TN (110 miles). Check the listing's mileage policy and message the host if you're planning a longer loop. Pro tip: even staying within a 30-mile radius gives you waterfalls, vineyards, and Lake Blue Ridge.

Where are the best campgrounds near Blue Ridge to park my RV?

You're spoiled for choice when it comes to RV camping Blue Ridge. The Blue Ridge/Toccoa River KOA Holiday sits right on the Toccoa River with full hookups, free Wi-Fi, and a saltwater pool, making it a top pick for families. Morganton Point Campground, run by the U.S. Forest Service, is the only developed campground directly on Lake Blue Ridge and offers water and electric hookups plus a swim beach. Blue Ridge RV Resort has 81 full-hookup sites, creekside spots, and a heated pool. Toccoa Valley Campground is great if your rig is under 24 feet and you love tubing. Book 2-3 months ahead for fall, which is peak season here.

When is the best time of year for an RV trip to Blue Ridge?

Fall is the crown jewel for a Blue Ridge RV trip, with mid-October bringing peak foliage, daytime highs in the 60s, and crisp campfire nights, but every season has real charm here. Spring (April-May) brings blooming dogwoods, waterfalls running full, and 60s-70s temperatures with fewer crowds. Summer averages 80s in the daytime, noticeably cooler than Atlanta thanks to elevation, perfect for Lake Blue Ridge swimming and tubing the Toccoa. Winter highs run 45-55F with occasional snow flurries, ideal for cozy heated RVs and quiet trails. Insider tip: book the second or third weekend in October at least 3 months early; that's when leaf colors typically peak in Fannin County.

I've never rented an RV before. Will I actually know how to use it?

Yes, and that's the beauty of RVezy: you're never left to figure it out alone. Every host in Blue Ridge provides a hands-on walkthrough at pickup or delivery, showing you exactly how to run the generator, slide-outs, water pump, propane stove, awning, and waste tanks. Many hosts also leave a printed cheat sheet or a video link inside the rig. If you have a question at 9 PM from your campsite at Morganton Point, you can message your host directly through the RVezy app, and 24/7 roadside assistance is included in every booking. First time renting an RV here? Choose a Class C or travel trailer with delivery and you'll feel like a pro by sunset.

What if something breaks down during my RV trip?

Take a deep breath, you're covered. Every RVezy booking comes with 24/7 roadside assistance, so if you get a flat tire on US-76, a dead battery at the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway parking lot, or a mechanical issue on Aska Road, one phone call gets a pro dispatched to you. For anything system-related inside the rig, message your host directly through the app, they often troubleshoot common issues like a tripped GFCI or a stuck slide in minutes. Cell service is solid in town and along Highway 515, but can drop in the deeper Chattahoochee National Forest, so save the roadside number offline before you head into the hills.

Can I take my Blue Ridge RV rental across state lines?

Yes, interstate travel is one of the best parts of an RV road trip from Blue Ridge, and most RVezy hosts welcome it. Tennessee and North Carolina are right next door, opening up the Great Smoky Mountains, Cherokee National Forest, the Ocoee River, and Asheville's Blue Ridge Parkway, all within a 2-hour drive. Just confirm out-of-state travel with your host through the RVezy message system before booking so they can update the trip details. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals. Pro tip: a 4-day loop through Blue Ridge, GA to Townsend, TN to Cherokee, NC and back is a classic Southern Appalachian RV trip that most hosts approve easily.
nps.gov/grsm/planyourvisit/index.htm

What kind of fuel mileage and budget should I plan for?

Plan realistically and you'll stay relaxed about the gas pump. Class B campervans typically get 16-20 MPG, Class C motorhomes average 8-12 MPG, and larger Class A rigs run 6-10 MPG, while travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle. Regular unleaded in Blue Ridge usually runs close to the Georgia state average, which tends to be cheaper than the national average, and you'll find convenient fuel stops on Highway 515 in town and at the Ingles in McCaysville. For a 4-night Blue Ridge RV trip with light driving (under 200 miles total), budget roughly $80-$160 in fuel for a Class C. Top off in town before heading deep into Chattahoochee National Forest.

How far in advance should I book a campground in Blue Ridge?

Book early and you'll have your pick of the best spots. For fall weekends (especially the first three weekends of October when leaves peak), reserve campgrounds 4-6 months ahead. Morganton Point Campground, run by the U.S. Forest Service, takes reservations through Recreation.gov up to 6 months in advance and fills fast for waterfront sites. The Blue Ridge/Toccoa River KOA and Blue Ridge RV Resort book through their own sites and often sell out 2-3 months ahead for summer holidays and fall foliage. For spring and winter trips, 3-4 weeks notice is usually plenty. Pro tip: lock the campsite first, then book your RVezy rental, that way delivery logistics are simple.
recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/234074

What are the roads and driving conditions like around Blue Ridge?

Driving in Blue Ridge is very manageable for RVs of any size when you stick to the main routes. Highway 515 (the main four-lane corridor into town) is wide, well-graded, and easy for first-time RV drivers. Old Highway 76 and Aska Road have tighter mountain curves and a few steep grades, beautiful but slower, so take your time and use lower gears on descents. Avoid narrow forest roads in the Chattahoochee National Forest unless your host specifically approves them. Winter occasionally brings ice on bridges and shaded curves between December and February, so check Georgia 511 for road updates. Insider tip: drive into town on weekday mornings to dodge weekend foliage traffic on 515.
511ga.org/

What amenities do Blue Ridge campgrounds typically offer?

Most established Blue Ridge campgrounds make RV life easy with solid hookups and clean facilities. The Blue Ridge/Toccoa River KOA offers full hookups (water, sewer, 30/50 amp electric) plus free Wi-Fi at every site. Blue Ridge RV Resort has full hookups at all 81 sites, EV charging, a heated pool, and a laundry building. Morganton Point Campground offers water and electric (no sewer at site), with a dump station on-site and a swim beach on Lake Blue Ridge. For fresh water and dump access between trips, the Morganton Point dump station and several private parks along Highway 515 are reliable. Pro tip: book a full-hookup site for stays longer than 2 nights to skip dump-station detours.
fs.usda.gov/recarea/conf/recarea/?recid=10532

What's typically included inside an RV rental from Blue Ridge hosts?

You'll find most RVezy rentals in Blue Ridge come ready to camp the moment you walk in. Expect a full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, sink, and cookware; a private bathroom with toilet and shower; seatbelted sleeping for 4-8 depending on rig size; air conditioning and a furnace for cooler mountain nights; and often a TV, Bluetooth stereo, and onboard generator. Many motorhome rental Blue Ridge listings include outdoor chairs, a propane grill, and even starter kits with toilet paper and dish soap. Each host lists exactly what's included on the listing page, and you can message them to confirm. Pro tip: ask about leveling blocks, Blue Ridge campsites can be slightly sloped.

What add-ons and pickup options should I expect when I rent an RV in Blue Ridge?

Hosts on RVezy offer flexible options that let you customize your Blue Ridge RV trip. Common add-ons include delivery and setup (often $2-$4 per mile from the host's base), generator hours, bike racks, kayaks or paddleboards, propane refills, and post-trip cleaning. Pickup is usually self-serve at the host's location around Blue Ridge or Morganton, with a 30-60 minute walkthrough. Mileage policies vary, with many hosts offering 100-150 free miles per day and reasonable per-mile rates beyond that. Some hosts even offer RV rental with unlimited mileage for an extra flat fee. Pro tip: bundle delivery plus a generator add-on for a stress-free first night, especially if you're camping in the Aska Adventure Area.

How does payment and the security deposit work for an RV rental in Blue Ridge?

Payment is simple, secure, and handled entirely through RVezy, so you never hand cash to a host. You'll pay the booking total (rental, fees, protection plan, taxes, and any add-ons) via credit card during checkout. A refundable security deposit is held separately on your card before your trip starts, typically $500-$1,500 depending on the RV and your chosen protection level, and it's released after the host confirms a clean return. To avoid any issues, do a quick walkaround photo set at pickup and dropoff, return the rig with fuel and tanks per the host's instructions, and message through the app for a paper trail. Easy peace of mind for your North Georgia adventure.
