Renting with Richard couldn’t have gone better! We were taking a trip to Tahoe national Forest and a place that we had never been, to meet up with family. With taking two small children and our dog on their first camping trip together we knew we wanted to get an RV to have some of the comforts of home and have someone deliver an RV with more driving experience. Richard not only dropped it off and set it up to the site for us, he also picked it up when we were ready to leave. Our camping trip went so much better having the RV and the kids loved staying in the bunkbeds! Thank you so much again Richard we had an AMAZING time!!!

Karina was very responsive, the meet up to pick up and drop off went smoothly. We did have a couple issues with the RV panel that it needed to reboot for every generator use. They said they were aware and were planning on replacing. We were unable to see grey and black water usage levels. The A/C works but only on a high level and vents are a bit broken and don't stay open without putting something in place to keep them open. Overall the RV was great for our girls trip. We had 4 adult women and it was good for what we needed. There are solar panels and satellite but we were not sure how to use it and it was not explained, so we can not give any review on those features. It would've been good to have an owners manual on how the RV operates with those features a long with anything else. Took a couple days just to figure out the quirks but it did not interfere with our trip. The main door lock did break, but I was able to get it replaced at the end of the trip. Overall, I would definitely rent again given some of the little things being resolved as it is a great RV.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Incline Village, NV

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Incline Village, NV?

RV rental in Incline Village is more affordable than most people expect, especially when you compare it to lakeside hotels on the Tahoe shore. On RVezy, travel trailers typically start around $100 to $175 per night, campervans and Class C motorhomes run roughly $200 to $325 per night, and larger Class A motorhomes climb from there. You can save the most by booking midweek, traveling in the shoulder seasons of late April to mid-June or September to October, and filtering for cheap RV rental Incline Village options on travel trailers that a host delivers to your campsite. Pro tip: weekday nights at Sand Harbor are dramatically quieter and the lake stays just as blue.

What kind of driver's license do I need to rent an RV in Incline Village?

Good news: for almost every RV on RVezy, your regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Incline Village. Nevada only requires a non-commercial Class B license for single vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) over 26,000 pounds, and the vast majority of campervans, Class C motorhomes, and travel trailers on the platform fall well under that threshold. You must be 25 or older to book, and RVezy verifies your ID securely through the platform during checkout. Visiting from abroad? Bring an International Driving Permit (IDP) alongside your home license. Most first-time renters are amazed by how simple the paperwork really is.

Is my RV rental in Incline Village protected if something happens on the trip?

Yes, and that peace of mind is one of the best parts of booking through RVezy. Every motorhome rental in Incline Village includes a renter protection plan that covers damage to the vehicle, plus 24/7 roadside assistance built in. During checkout, you choose the protection plan tier that fits your trip, so you decide how much coverage you want before you ever hit Mount Rose Highway. Hosts don't pick your coverage, you do. Pro tip: the higher coverage tiers are popular for Tahoe trips because mountain gravel, low-hanging pine branches at lakeside campgrounds, and bear-country parking lots can keep first-time renters from sleeping easy otherwise.

What if my Lake Tahoe plans change after I book? Can I cancel?

Yes, you can cancel, and RVezy (not the host) sets the cancellation policy so you get the same predictable rules across every listing. There is a money-back grace period right after booking, plus tiered refund options that depend on how far out from your trip you cancel. If a host cancels on you, RVezy refunds your booking or provides travel credits so your Incline Village RV trip stays on track. Lake Tahoe weather can shift quickly, so it is reassuring to know there is a real safety net behind your reservation. Full details live in the RVezy Help Center, and customer support is available before, during, and after every trip.

Can I bring my dog on an Incline Village RV rental?

Absolutely, Tahoe is one of the most dog-friendly basins in the country and pet-friendly RV rental Incline Village options are plentiful on RVezy. Just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter on the search page and message the host with your dog's size and breed so everyone starts on the same page. Once you arrive, leashed pups are welcome at Nevada Beach Campground (though not on the swim beach itself), and they will love the East Shore Trail paved path between Incline Village and Sand Harbor. Pro tip: the dog-friendly beach areas at Kings Beach, just 10 minutes west, are a fantastic morning stop before the human crowds roll in.

Can the RV be delivered to my campsite in Incline Village?

Yes, RV delivery in Incline Village is one of the easiest ways to start your trip, especially if you have never driven a motorhome before. Many hosts on RVezy will tow or drive the RV to Nevada Beach Campground, Zephyr Cove RV Park, or even a private cabin driveway in Incline Village, then level it, hook up power and water, and walk you through every system before they leave. Filter for Delivery on the search page to see which listings offer it and check each host's delivery radius and fee. Pro tip: delivery is gold if you are flying into Reno-Tahoe International, which sits about 35 miles away over Mount Rose Highway.

How far can I drive my Incline Village RV rental, and is unlimited mileage available?

You've got plenty of range, and many listings on RVezy offer RV rental with unlimited mileage, which is perfect for a Lake Tahoe loop or a longer Sierra road trip. Hosts set their own mileage policies, so check the listing page (it's shown clearly before you book) and message the host if you have a specific route in mind. Popular drives from Incline Village include the 72-mile loop around Lake Tahoe, Yosemite National Park (about 165 miles), Lassen Volcanic National Park (around 160 miles), and Death Valley (roughly 380 miles). Pro tip: the full Tahoe loop is best done counter-clockwise so you hug the lake on the right.

Where are the best campgrounds near Incline Village for RV camping?

You're spoiled for choice when it comes to RV camping Incline Village. The closest standout is Nevada Beach Campground in Zephyr Heights, a US Forest Service site right on the sand with 54 paved sites that fit RVs up to 45 feet. Zephyr Cove RV Park, about 25 minutes south on US-50, offers full hookups and a marina. Washoe Lake State Park Campground (30 minutes east via Mount Rose Highway) stays open year-round with electric hookups. For a more rustic vibe, Mount Rose Campground sits at 8,900 feet along SR-431. Pro tip: book Nevada Beach the day reservations open on Recreation.gov, exactly six months ahead.

When is the best time of year for an Incline Village RV trip?

Incline Village sits at 6,400 feet on the north shore of Lake Tahoe, so the season really does matter. Late June through mid-September is peak summer, with daytime highs in the mid-70s, lake water finally swimmable around 65 to 68 degrees, and the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival lighting up Sand Harbor in July and August. May and October are gorgeous shoulder seasons with fewer crowds and cheaper rates. Winter (November through April) transforms the area into a ski paradise, with Diamond Peak and Mount Rose resorts within minutes. Pro tip: September is the local insider favorite, the lake is still warm, wildfire smoke risk has often eased, and traffic on SR-28 drops noticeably.

I've never driven an RV. Will I be okay in Incline Village?

You'll be fine, and you won't be left to figure it out alone. Every RVezy host walks you through a full orientation at pickup covering hookups, the propane system, the generator, slide-outs, and how to dump tanks, so you leave confident. First time renting an RV? Start with a smaller Class B campervan or a 20- to 24-foot Class C motorhome, both easy to maneuver on SR-28 around the lake. Hosts are reachable by message throughout your trip, and 24/7 roadside assistance is part of every booking. Pro tip: practice a few turns in the wide Diamond Peak parking lot before tackling the switchbacks on Mount Rose Highway.

What happens if something goes wrong with the RV during my trip?

You are covered from minute one. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan, so a flat tire on Mount Rose Highway, a dead battery at Sand Harbor, or a lockout in the Diamond Peak parking lot is a single phone call away from being resolved. Your host is also just a message away through the RVezy app for quick questions about quirks of their specific RV. For anything bigger, RVezy customer support is available before, during, and after every trip. Pro tip: save the roadside number to your phone before you leave the host's driveway, cell service can drop in pockets along SR-431 near the summit.

Can I take my Incline Village RV rental across state lines or into Canada or Mexico?

Yes to neighboring states, with a quick conversation for longer crossings. Most hosts on RVezy welcome trips into California (you're literally minutes from the state line in Crystal Bay), Oregon, Utah, and Arizona, which makes an RV road trip from Incline Village to Yosemite, Crater Lake, Zion, or the Grand Canyon totally doable. Travel into Canada may be allowed depending on the host and the insurance on the vehicle, so message before booking. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because the insurance does not extend across the border. Pro tip: Lassen Volcanic National Park (about 160 miles north) is a stunning, uncrowded California detour.

What should I budget for fuel on a Tahoe RV trip?

Fuel is the biggest variable cost on an RV rental Nevada trip, so it helps to plan ahead. Reno-area gas prices in 2026 have been running around $5.30 to $5.50 per gallon for regular unleaded, with diesel a bit higher. Campervans and small Class C motorhomes typically get 14 to 18 miles per gallon, while larger Class A motorhomes drop to 7 to 10 mpg. For a typical 200-mile Tahoe loop with side trips, budget roughly $90 to $200 in fuel. Pro tip: fill up in Carson City or at the Boomtown truck stop just west of Reno before heading up Mount Rose Highway, where prices are noticeably lower than at Tahoe-shore stations.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Incline Village?

The earlier the better, especially for summer. The best campgrounds near Incline Village (Nevada Beach, Zephyr Cove, Sand Harbor day-use, Washoe Lake State Park) all release reservations on rolling windows, six months ahead on Recreation.gov for the federal sites and through ReserveNevada.com for Nevada State Parks. Sand Harbor day-use parking reservations are essential between Memorial Day and Labor Day. If summer is fully booked, set a free cancellation alert through services like Campnab, last-minute openings appear daily. Pro tip: weekday arrivals (Sunday through Tuesday) have dramatically better availability and you'll often score a lakefront loop at Nevada Beach even in July.
recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/232768

What are the local driving conditions like for an RV around Incline Village?

Driving conditions are scenic but require respect because you're in the high Sierra. The main route to Reno, Mount Rose Highway (SR-431), tops out at 8,911 feet, the highest year-round pass in the Sierra Nevada, with steep grades and tight switchbacks. SR-28 along the lakeshore is gentler but narrow with cyclists in summer. In winter, chain controls or 4WD with snow tires are common from November through April. Pro tip: avoid Mount Rose Highway between 4 and 6 p.m. on summer Fridays (Reno commuters and lake-goers collide), and use the long downhill in low gear to save your brakes coming back into Incline Village.
nvroads.com/

What hookups and dump stations should I expect at campgrounds around Lake Tahoe?

Expect a mix, which is normal in a national-forest setting. Zephyr Cove RV Park and Tahoe Valley Campground offer full hookups (water, electric, sewer) and Wi-Fi. Nevada Beach Campground has drinking water and flush toilets but no individual hookups, so you'll boondock with your fresh, gray, and black tanks. The closest dump stations are at Zephyr Cove RV Park, D.L. Bliss State Park, and Camp Richardson Resort in South Lake Tahoe, all for a small fee. Pro tip: ask your RVezy host to top off the fresh-water tank before delivery so you can comfortably stretch three to four nights at a no-hookup site like Nevada Beach or Mount Rose Campground.

What's inside a typical RV rental in Incline Village?

You'll feel right at home. Most motorhome rental Incline Village listings on RVezy come fully equipped with a real bed (often a queen plus convertible bunks or a dinette), a kitchen with fridge, freezer, propane stove, microwave, sink, and cookware, plus a bathroom with toilet and shower. Class C and Class A motorhomes include seatbelted seating for the whole crew, air conditioning, a furnace for chilly Tahoe nights, and usually a generator and TV. Campervan rental Incline Village options are cozier but include similar essentials. Pro tip: filter for listings that include linens, a starter kit, and a generator, those small add-ons make a huge difference at off-grid sites like Mount Rose Campground.
fs.usda.gov/r05/laketahoebasin

What add-ons and pickup options are common on Tahoe RV rentals?

Hosts love making your trip easier, so add-ons are part of the fun. Popular extras include camping chairs and tables, paddleboards or kayaks (perfect for Sand Harbor's clear water), bedding and towel packages, generators, propane refills, bike racks, and pet-cleaning fees. Pickup is usually at the host's home or driveway in Incline Village, Crystal Bay, or nearby Reno-Tahoe International Airport, and many hosts offer flexible afternoon pickup with morning drop-off. Mileage policies and generator hours are shown clearly on every listing. Pro tip: a paddleboard add-on is the single best money you'll spend, you'll launch right from Sand Harbor or Hidden Beach within minutes of camp.

How does payment and the security deposit work when I rent an RV in Incline Village?

Payment is straightforward and secure. When you book on RVezy, you pay through the platform with a credit card, no cash changes hands with the host. A refundable security deposit is held separately from your booking payment before your trip, typically $500 to $1,500 depending on the RV class and host, and it is released after drop-off once the host confirms the RV came back in the same shape it left. To avoid issues, take date-stamped photos of the inside and outside at both pickup and return, follow the mileage and generator-hour policies on the listing, and dump the tanks before returning. Pro tip: a quick walk-around video at handoff is the best $0 insurance you will ever buy.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-works

Can I rent an RV in Incline Village in winter for ski trips?

Yes, and a winter RV rental Nevada trip is one of the most underrated Tahoe experiences. Diamond Peak Ski Resort sits inside Incline Village itself and Mount Rose Ski Tahoe is just 11 miles up SR-431, so you can park, plug in, and ski steps from your door. Look for four-season RVs on RVezy with heated holding tanks, an enclosed underbelly, and a strong propane furnace, and book a winter-open RV park with shore power, Zephyr Cove RV Park and Gold Ranch RV Resort near Verdi both stay open year-round. Pro tip: ask your host about snow chains and snow-tire status before pickup, NDOT chain controls on Mount Rose Highway are common from December through March.
