Fully self-contained recreational vehicles are required, as the park provides no water hookups, electricity, or dump stations. High tides may temporarily close the campground. Emma Wood State Beach is located two miles west of Ventura, California, off Highway 101. The park is approximately 68 miles from Los Angeles (1 hour 10 minutes) and 27 miles from Santa Barbara (30 minutes). RVs up to 40 feet can access North Beach campsites, while the Ventura River Group Camp accommodates RVs up to 45 feet. Note the narrow turnaround areas and low clearance in tight spots; adjacent railroad tracks may produce noise. Santa Barbara Airport is the nearest major airport, approximately 37 miles north.

The best time to visit Emma Wood State Beach is late spring through early autumn, when temperatures range from 18°C to 24°C (64°F to 75°F) with minimal precipitation. June through September offer the warmest, driest conditions ideal for beach camping and water activities. Shoulder seasons in spring and early fall provide pleasant weather with fewer crowds and more available campsites. The trailer was delivered at the time promised and setup with everything ready for us to walk through the door and have a great experience. My wife and I absolutely loved the trailer! It was clean, smelled great, extremely simple to use, (especially after a thorough walk through with Oscar) and he was available to answer any questions or concerns at all times! I would definitely rent this trailer again! Thanks again Oscar! We had a great weekend with friends and family and many complimented the trailer and said how they would love to have it!
