How to get to Gulf Islands National Park Reserve

The park is located 31 km north of Victoria, British Columbia. Most park islands are reachable only by boat; however, SMONÉCTEN Campground on North Saanich is directly accessible by car, positioned between Swartz Bay ferry terminal and the Town of Sidney. Vehicle ferry service to outlying islands departs from Swartz Bay (approximately 30 minutes from Victoria and 1.5 hours from Vancouver). Victoria International Airport (YYJ) is approximately 40 km south, with RV rental services available in Victoria and Sidney for fly-and-rent options.
