Late June through early September is the prime window, when the Peck Pond swimming area is staffed and warm weather supports picnicking and paddling. September and early October offer cooler hiking weather and colorful fall foliage through the surrounding hardwood forest, with smaller crowds on weekdays. Spring visits can be buggy and wet, so RV travelers should pack insect repellent and expect soft ground on trails. Peck Pond is stocked with trout by the Rhode Island Division of Fish and Wildlife and also holds warmwater species such as bass and pickerel. A valid Rhode Island freshwater fishing license is required for anglers 15 and older. Shoreline fishing is accessible from several points around the pond.
The surrounding George Washington Management Area offers thousands of acres of forest with multi-use trails for hiking, mountain biking, and hunting in season. Bowdish Reservoir within the management area provides additional paddling and fishing opportunities. Trailhead lots accommodate day-use parking for tow vehicles.
Pulaski's quiet forest and pond setting attracts songbirds, waterfowl, and wading birds, making it a rewarding stop for birders and photographers. Early morning visits along the pond edge and trail corridors provide the best wildlife activity. Bring binoculars and long lenses for best results.

Pulaski State Park, RI, United States
Pulaski State Park sits off Route 44 in western Glocester, roughly 25 miles northwest of Providence, about a 40-minute drive. Boston is approximately 75 miles away, around 1 hour 30 minutes by road, and Hartford, Connecticut is a similar distance to the west. RV drivers should note that the final approach along Pulaski Memorial State Forest Road is a narrow, tree-lined country road with tight turns and limited shoulders, so larger rigs should take it slowly and watch for overhanging branches. The nearest major airport for fly-and-rent travelers is T.F. Green International Airport in Warwick, Rhode Island, about 35 miles south of the park.
