Campgrounds and RV parks near Kootenay Boundary C / Christina Lake, BC

Christina Lake sits in the Boundary region of southern British Columbia, on Highway 3 about 23 kilometres east of Grand Forks and roughly 1 kilometre north of the United States border. The lake is renowned as the warmest tree-lined lake in British Columbia, with July and early August water temperatures averaging around 23 degrees Celsius, which draws RV travellers for swimming, paddling, and waterskiing during the short summer season. Christina Lake Provincial Park itself is a day-use area with no overnight camping. Overnight campers rely on private RV parks clustered in and around the village, plus the nearest provincial park campground at Texas Creek in Gladstone Provincial Park. Named sites in the immediate area include Skands Court, Skands Campground, Camp Beverly Hills Motel Cottages and RV Park Campground, Totem Motel and Resort, and Cascade Cove RV Park and Campground. Grand Forks, about 23 kilometres west, offers a broader selection of goods and services, while Castlegar lies further east. That makes Christina Lake a practical basecamp for RV renters travelling between the Okanagan and the Kootenays.

Provincial park sites are reserved through the BC Parks reservation system. BC Parks uses a three-month rolling window for frontcountry campground reservations, meaning arrival dates can only be booked within that three-month window. New availability opens daily at 7 a.m. Pacific Time, three calendar months before the arrival date. Texas Creek Campground in Gladstone Park is fully reservable and reservations are strongly recommended; the campground typically operates from late April or early May through late September. Sites have flush toilets, pit toilets, hot showers, water taps, and a boat launch, but no hookups. Backcountry marine sites in Gladstone are user-maintained and payable in cash at Texas Creek Campground. Private RV parks around the village take direct bookings by phone or through their own websites, and most accept hookup reservations well in advance for July and August.
