Campgrounds and RV parks near Kingston, NB

Kingston sits on the Kingston Peninsula in southern New Brunswick, located between the Saint John River and the Kennebecasis River in Kings County. The area is a short drive from Saint John and Hampton, making it a practical base for RV travellers exploring the lower Saint John River valley and the Bay of Fundy coast. The surrounding peninsula is a rural farming area of rolling hills and countryside, with small villages and quiet backroads to explore. Riverfront and lakeside campgrounds dominate the options, with sites ranging from basic tenting loops to full-service RV parks. Provincial cable ferries, most of them free of charge, cross the Saint John and Kennebecasis Rivers at several points on the peninsula, which shapes how many campers loop through the region. Closest options include Oak Point Kiwanis Park and Hidden Valley Campground on the peninsula itself, with Hardings Point Campground Inc, Coy Lake Camping RV Park Ltd, and Mohawk Camping within reasonable driving distance for longer stays or route planning.

The campgrounds near Kingston are privately operated, not part of Parks Canada or the New Brunswick provincial park reservation system. Reservations are made directly with each park by phone, email, or the campground's own website. There is no single provincial portal for these sites. For serviced RV sites on summer weekends, book four to eight weeks ahead. Holiday long weekends often require booking earlier in the spring. Many operators require a deposit at the time of reservation and have their own cancellation windows, so confirm terms before paying. Seasonal sites (full-summer leases) are common at parks like Hardings Point Campground Inc and Coy Lake Camping RV Park Ltd, which can reduce transient availability. When calling, ask specifically about nightly versus seasonal inventory, big-rig length limits, and whether the site has 30-amp or 15-amp service.
