Campgrounds and RV parks near Musquash, NB

Musquash sits on the Bay of Fundy coast in southern New Brunswick, roughly a 20-minute drive west of Saint John along Route 1. It is a rural community bordered by the Musquash Estuary, a protected marine area, and it puts RV renters within short reach of both Fundy coastal parks and the lower Saint John River valley. The closest full-service option is New River Beach Provincial Park, located near Maces Bay on the Fundy shore west of Musquash. To the east, the Kingston Peninsula and Saint John River offer inland, river-oriented campgrounds including Hardings Point Campground Inc and Oak Point Kiwanis Park. Farther afield, Hole In The Wall Park Campground and Castalia Marsh Retreat sit on Grand Manan Island, reached by ferry from Blacks Harbour to North Head. The area works well as a base for day trips: Saint John and the Reversing Falls Rapids are close, Fundy National Park is about 90 minutes east, and St. Andrews and the Fundy Isles lie to the west. Fundy tides, coastal fog, and short summers shape trip planning more than distance does.

New Brunswick's provincial parks, including New River Beach Provincial Park, use the Parks NB reservation system. Seasonal campsite reservations open in mid-January for campgrounds including New River Beach, and nightly camping reservations for all New Brunswick provincial parks open on a single date in early February. Popular Fundy-coast weekends fill quickly once the system goes live, so booking on opening day is common practice for July and August stays. Private campgrounds such as Hardings Point Campground Inc, Oak Point Kiwanis Park, Hole In The Wall Park Campground, and Castalia Marsh Retreat each handle their own reservations, generally by phone or through the campground's own website. For Grand Manan sites, RV renters should also plan for the Blacks Harbour to North Head ferry and arrive early on summer sailing days, since vehicle space is limited.
