Campgrounds and RV parks near Saint Martins, NB

The village's twin covered bridges, harbour, and sea caves sit within walking distance of Century Farm Family Campground and a short drive from Fundy Woods Campground & Cottages. At low tide, visitors can walk into the sea caves on the beach, so tide timing is essential. Fundy Trail Provincial Park is the main draw. The 2,559-hectare park features a 30 km scenic coastal drive, an interpretive centre, roughly 35 km of hiking and biking trails, and over 20 lookouts above the Bay of Fundy. Popular stops include Walton Glen Gorge, Fuller Falls, Long Beach, the Big Salmon River suspension footbridge, and access to the Fundy Footpath. Further east, Fundy National Park adds coastal hiking, waterfalls, and kayaking on the world's highest tides.

The Saint Martins camping season runs roughly from mid-May through mid-October, matching the operating window of the main coastal attractions. The Fundy Trail Parkway opens for the season in mid-to-late May, typically around the Victoria Day long weekend, and closes for winter in mid-to-late October. The parkway is closed entirely from late October through mid-May each year. July and August are peak months. Days are warm, all campgrounds are fully staffed, and interpretive programs at Fundy Trail Provincial Park and Fundy National Park are in full swing. Sites at national park campgrounds fill quickly on summer weekends, so mid-week arrivals are worth considering. Coastal fog is common on the Bay of Fundy even in summer. Late May, June, September, and early October are shoulder periods with cooler temperatures, thinner crowds, and easier bookings. Winter shuts down the private campgrounds and closes the parkway, though Fundy National Park itself remains open year-round with limited winter access for skiing and snowshoeing.

Sites in the Saint Martins area range from full-hookup RV pads to unserviced wooded tent sites and cabin rentals. Fundy Woods does not offer a dump station on-site, so RV travellers should plan a dump stop elsewhere in the region. Century Farm sits directly on the shore, while Fundy Woods is set back in the trees on a hill above the bay. Cell coverage is patchy along the coast and inside Fundy National Park. Firewood should be bought locally rather than brought in, as outside firewood may harbour invasive species. Fire bans can be imposed during dry stretches. Black flies and mosquitoes are active in late spring and early summer. Layers are useful year-round, since bay fog and onshore winds keep evenings cool even in July.
