Campgrounds and RV parks near Springfield, NB

Springfield sits in Kings County in southern New Brunswick, roughly between Sussex and the lower Saint John River valley. The area is rural and rolling, with farmland, mixed forest, and quiet secondary roads that connect to Route 1 and the Trans-Canada corridor. RV travellers use it as a low-traffic base for exploring the Kennebecasis Valley, the Fundy coast, and the town of Sussex. Kings County is the covered-bridge capital of Atlantic Canada, with 15 covered bridges concentrated in the Sussex area. That density of scenic backroads, plus proximity to Fundy National Park to the south, makes the Springfield area a practical staging point for multi-day trips. Campgrounds close to Springfield range from small family-run parks to a full-service KOA outside Sussex. Hidden Valley Campground, RiverRun Campground, Mohawk Camping, and Millstream Scenic View Campground offer nearby options with varying hookup levels, while Sussex KOA Journey provides the most standardized amenities in the immediate area.

Private parks near Springfield, including Hidden Valley Campground, RiverRun Campground, Mohawk Camping, and Millstream Scenic View Campground, are booked directly by phone, email, or the operator's own website. Sussex KOA Journey is booked through the KOA reservation system or the KOA app. Summer weekends fill early, so lock in dates well ahead for July and August. New Brunswick's provincial parks use the official Parks NB reservation portal at parcsnbparks.ca, which typically opens for the full summer season in early February. If a nearby provincial park or Fundy National Park is part of the plan, book Fundy through the Parks Canada reservation service, which launches in January. For sold-out dates, cancellations are common, and services such as Campnab can text notifications when sites open at New Brunswick parks.
