Campgrounds and RV parks near Wells, NB

Wells is a former community now part of the town of Rothesay, in Kings County, New Brunswick. It sits just east of the Saint John urban area along the lower Kennebecasis and Saint John River corridor, which puts RV travellers within easy reach of the Kingston Peninsula, the Saint John River Valley, and the Bay of Fundy coast around St. Martins. Most campgrounds in the area are private, seasonal operations rather than provincial or national parks. Hidden Valley Campground is a nature-centric private seasonal campsite ideally situated between Hampton and Kingston NB. Oak Point Kiwanis Park lies on the Saint John River west of the city, and Hardings Point Campground Inc overlooks the Saint John River, situated on the tip of the Kingston Peninsula, reached by a free cable ferry. East of Saint John on the Fundy coast, Fundy Woods Campground & Cottages and Century Farm Family Campground both serve travellers exploring the Fundy Trail and St. Martins sea caves.

The campgrounds nearest Wells are privately owned, so reservations are handled directly through each operator rather than through New Brunswick's provincial park reservation system. Hidden Valley Campground, Oak Point Kiwanis Park, and Hardings Point Campground Inc take bookings by phone and through their own websites. Fundy Woods Campground & Cottages also lists sites on third-party platforms, where instant-book reservations may be automatically approved. For July and August, and for any long weekend, reserve several months ahead, especially for full-hookup pull-throughs and waterfront sites. Some properties run seasonal sites separate from short-stay sites, which can limit nightly inventory during peak weeks. Confirm rig length, hookup type, pet policies, and check-in windows directly with the campground before arrival.
