Campgrounds and RV parks near Dawn-Euphemia, ON

Dawn-Euphemia is a rural township in the southeast corner of Lambton County in southwestern Ontario, formed from a merger of the former townships of Dawn and Euphemia. It covers about 445 square kilometres of mostly agricultural land, bisected by the Sydenham River. The municipal office is in Dresden, and small hamlets such as Florence, Shetland, Rutherford and Bentpath dot the concessions. The township sits within easy driving distance of Lake St. Clair to the southwest and Lake Huron beaches to the north, giving RV travellers access to two very different waterfronts from one base. Nearby towns such as Dresden, Wallaceburg, Petrolia and Sarnia provide groceries, propane, laundromats and dump stations. Campground options in the area lean toward private, family-run RV parks rather than provincial parks. Country View Motel and RV Camping Resort, Mitchells Bay Marine Park Ltd on Lake St. Clair, Bear Lake Experience near Warwick, Lakewood Christian Campground, and Wildwood By The Lake on Lake Erie cover the closest established sites for both overnight and seasonal stays.

Campgrounds within reach of Dawn-Euphemia are almost all privately operated, so reservations run through each park's own system rather than the Ontario Parks reservation service. Country View Motel and RV Camping Resort, Mitchells Bay Marine Park Ltd, Bear Lake Experience, Lakewood Christian Campground and Wildwood By The Lake each take bookings directly by phone or through their websites. Bear Lake Experience uses Campspot for online reservations. Expect full or partial payment at the time of booking, and confirm hookup type, amperage and maximum RV length when reserving. For July and August weekends, plan several weeks ahead. Seasonal sites at membership parks such as Wildwood By The Lake are largely leased directly to members, with only a small number of seasonal rental lots and short-term rentals available to the public.
