Campgrounds and RV parks near Guelph/Eramosa, ON

Guelph/Eramosa Township sits in southern Ontario's Wellington County, straddling the Eramosa River between Guelph and the village of Rockwood. The area is a practical base for RV travellers: it is close to Highway 7 and within easy reach of Highway 401, putting the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas roughly a half-hour drive away. Rockwood Conservation Area sits on both sides of the Eramosa River and is easily accessible from southern Ontario's major cities via nearby Highway 401 and Highway 7. The township's signature draw is Rockwood, with towering limestone cliffs, caves and glacial potholes, including one of the world's largest, operated by the Grand River Conservation Authority. Private resorts fill in around it. Emerald Lake Trailer Resort and Waterpark and Flamboro Valley Camping Resort sit south toward Puslinch and Flamborough, Highland Pines Campground is northwest near Fergus, Toronto West KOA Holiday lies east toward Milton, and The Ponderosa Nature Resort operates as a clothing-optional park. Most sites in the area run a May-to-October season, with a mix of serviced RV pads, unserviced tent sites, and cabin or park-model rentals.

Rockwood Conservation Area is reserved through the Grand River Conservation Authority. Rockwood has about 46 serviced sites with electricity and water, 16 full-service sites with water, hydro and septic, and 43 unserviced sites. Up to six people are permitted per campsite, and bookings run through the GRCA online reservation system at grcacamping.ca, with a call-in option for alternate arrangements. Weekend stays typically carry a two-night minimum. Private parks each run their own booking channels. Highland Pines takes overnight and weekend reservations through its own website, alongside separate seasonal-site sales. Emerald Lake, Flamboro Valley, Toronto West KOA Holiday, and The Ponderosa Nature Resort book directly through their own sites or by phone. Long weekends and July-August Saturdays sell out first, so lock in dates well ahead.
