Campgrounds and RV parks near Hollywood, AL

Hollywood sits in Jackson County in northeast Alabama, along the Tennessee River between Scottsboro and Bridgeport. The area is part of the Lake Guntersville and Nickajack Lake reservoir system on the Tennessee River, with the Cumberland Plateau rising to the east and Sand Mountain to the south. Most RV traffic here revolves around lake access, fishing, and quiet river frontage rather than big-crowd tourism. Campgrounds near Hollywood range from full-service resorts to county-run parks. Jackson County Park and Marina sits on the banks of Lake Guntersville and offers full hook-up sites on and off the water, on-site laundry, and a boat fuel dock. Crawford RV Park, Cow Creek Camping, Lake Ridge Campground, and Windemere Cove RV Resort provide additional options within easy driving distance, mixing waterfront sites, wooded lots, and pull-throughs suited to larger rigs. Most campgrounds in this corridor operate year-round, though staffing and amenities scale back in winter. The closest major airport is Huntsville International, roughly an hour west, and Chattanooga is about the same distance northeast.

Reservation systems vary by operator. Lake Guntersville State Park books through reserve.alapark.com, a UseDirect-based reservation system, and the maximum length of stay is 14 days. Reservations may be cancelled up to 72 hours prior to 12:00 a.m. on the scheduled arrival date with a refund of all paid fees except the non-refundable reservation fee, and cancellations made inside three days forfeit all fees. Jackson County Park and Marina books through Campspot, with full-hookup lakefront and off-water sites, and also accepts phone bookings through the park office. Private parks such as Crawford RV Park, Cow Creek Camping, Lake Ridge Campground, and Windemere Cove RV Resort typically use their own websites or third-party platforms. For spring bass season, fall color, and eagle weekends, plan to reserve two to three months out; holiday weekends often need more lead time.
