Campgrounds and RV parks near Colorado City, AZ

Colorado City sits on the Arizona Strip along State Route 389, just south of the Utah border and roughly a 45-minute drive from the south entrance of Zion National Park via Hurricane, Utah. The town serves as a quiet staging point for RV travelers heading into Zion, the Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument, and the Vermilion Cliffs region. Campground options split into two tiers. Right in town and along the highway corridor, Water Canyon RV Park and Range RV Campground offer straightforward RV sites, useful for travelers who want to avoid Zion's booked-out inventory. Closer to the park itself, in Springdale, Utah, Zion Canyon Campground and RV Resort provides full-service RV sites near the shuttle system. Inside Zion National Park, Watchman Campground and South Campground sit at the mouth of Zion Canyon beside the Virgin River. Both are operated by the National Park Service and require reservations through Recreation.gov. Watchman runs year-round, while South Campground operates seasonally and recently reopened after a long rehabilitation project.
