Campgrounds and RV parks near Moenkopi, AZ

Moenkopi sits on Hopi tribal land adjacent to Tuba City, on the Navajo Nation in northern Arizona. The village lies roughly 50 miles east of the Grand Canyon's east entrance, making it a practical staging point for RV travelers working the Grand Circle route across northern Arizona and southern Utah. Tuba City is the largest community on the Navajo Nation and shares a border with the Upper and Lower Villages of Moenkopi. RV options in the immediate area are limited but functional. Navajoland Inn and RV Park serves travelers stopping in Tuba City itself, while Cameron Trading Post RV Park sits about 25 miles south along US-89 at the junction with State Route 64. That location serves campers heading to the Grand Canyon's eastern entrance, positioned roughly 50 miles from the South Rim. For travelers pushing farther, Desert View Campground South inside Grand Canyon National Park, Grand Canyon Oasis RV Resort and Glampground near Valle, and Page Lake Powell Campground near Lake Powell all fall within reasonable driving range and expand the itinerary options.

Desert View Campground requires advanced reservations during its season, usually mid-April to mid-October, and reservations may be booked up to six months in advance. The campground does not hold back any sites for first-come, first-served camping and has no wait list; same-day reservations can be booked through Recreation.gov or the toll-free call center at 1-877-444-6777. Most sites accommodate tents or smaller RVs and travel trailers up to 30 feet, and vehicles over 29 feet may struggle to negotiate turns. Cameron Trading Post RV Park, Navajoland Inn and RV Park, Grand Canyon Oasis RV Resort and Glampground, and Page Lake Powell Campground are private operations booked directly through each property. Summer weekends and shoulder-season dates fill quickly given the region's proximity to multiple national parks.
