Campgrounds and RV parks near Scenic, AZ

Scenic sits in the far northwest corner of Arizona in the Virgin River Valley, straddling the state line with Nevada just east of Mesquite and about 20 miles southwest of St. George, Utah. The community is essentially a cluster of RV resorts and desert homes off Interstate 15, and most RV travelers use it as a low-key base for exploring the tri-state region where Arizona, Nevada, and Utah meet. The closest campgrounds are all full-hookup RV resorts oriented to big rigs and long-stay snowbirds. Desert Skies RV Resort, Sun Resorts RV Park, Solstice Motorcoach Resort and Country Club, and Anasazi Palms sit within a few miles of one another, and CasaBlanca Casino offers RV parking on the Mesquite side of the line. Anasazi Palms is an all-VIP large-lot park, with sites carrying 50/30/20 amp service, water, sewer near the power pedestal, and a concrete parking pad sized for two personal vehicles. Public-land camping is a short drive away at the Bureau of Land Management's Virgin River Canyon Recreation Area off the Cedar Pocket exit.

Private RV resorts in and around Scenic, including Desert Skies RV Resort, Sun Resorts RV Park, Solstice Motorcoach Resort and Country Club, and Anasazi Palms, take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. Winter long-stay sites are the tightest inventory, and many returning guests rebook a year out, so plan early for November through March arrivals. CasaBlanca Casino offers RV sites bookable through the property. For public-land camping, the BLM's Virgin River Canyon Recreation Area at the Cedar Pocket exit has 25 sites available for reservation through Recreation.gov, with the remaining 83 sites first come, first served, payable with the Recreation.gov Scan and Pay feature. Overnight stays are capped at 14 consecutive nights under a supplementary rule that took effect in February 2022.
