Campgrounds and RV parks near Yarnell, AZ

Yarnell sits at roughly 4,700 feet in the Weaver Mountains of central Arizona, on State Route 89 between Wickenburg and Prescott. The elevation moderates the desert heat, which shapes when RV travelers visit and where they camp. Most RV inventory is not inside Yarnell itself but a short drive down the hill toward Congress and Wickenburg, where the terrain flattens and utility hookups are easier to run. The closest full-service option is North Ranch - Escapees RV Parks in Congress, about ten miles west of Wickenburg, an Escapees-affiliated park with direct access to BLM land. Loose Horse RV Park and Desert Cypress Trailer Ranch sit in the Congress and Wickenburg corridor, and Aztec Village RV Resort is another Wickenburg-area option roughly 25 to 30 miles south of Yarnell. Gold Bar Ranch Bed and Breakfast operates in the same general corridor for travelers wanting a smaller property. Beyond the private parks, Prescott National Forest campgrounds sit an hour north near Prescott and offer a cooler-elevation alternative in summer.

Private parks in the area handle reservations directly. North Ranch - Escapees RV Parks takes reservations by phone, and Escapees members should provide their membership number for the discounted rate. Loose Horse RV Park, Desert Cypress Trailer Ranch, Aztec Village RV Resort, and Gold Bar Ranch Bed and Breakfast are best contacted directly through their own websites or phone lines, since some enforce minimum stays or age-restricted policies during peak season. For public-land camping, Prescott National Forest campgrounds are reserved through Recreation.gov, generally up to six months in advance, and the forest enforces a 14-day maximum stay within any 30-day period. Book winter stays in the Wickenburg-Congress corridor by early fall to secure full hookups.
