Campgrounds and RV parks near Hackett, AR

Hackett sits in Sebastian County in west-central Arkansas, just south of Fort Smith and close to the Oklahoma state line. The area combines small-town countryside with quick access to the Arkansas River valley, the Ouachita National Forest to the south, and the Boston Mountains and Ozark National Forest to the north. For RV travelers, this makes Hackett a practical base for exploring both the Ozarks and the Ouachitas without long transit days. Local private RV options include Big Foote Campground on AR-10 in Hackett, which offers full hookups for water, sewer, and electric on a rural property with a fishing pond. Nearby in Fort Smith, William O Darby RV Community and Crabtree RV Park cater to travelers who want city amenities close at hand, while Pathfinder RV Resort sits along the Arkansas River. Across the Oklahoma line, Long Lake Resort and RV Park adds lakeside sites and cabin rentals. Public camping in the region is anchored by Arkansas State Parks, most notably Lake Fort Smith State Park north of the city, plus U.S. Forest Service and Corps of Engineers sites within a short drive.

Private parks in and around Hackett handle their own reservations directly. Big Foote Campground books through its website and by phone, and William O Darby RV Community, Crabtree RV Park, Pathfinder RV Resort, and Long Lake Resort and RV Park each take direct bookings for nightly, weekly, and monthly stays. Some local parks also list on Campspot and Good Sam. For public sites, Lake Fort Smith State Park uses the Arkansas State Parks reservation system, which accepts bookings up to twelve months in advance of the scheduled arrival date. Weekend reservations require a minimum of two nights, and a three-night minimum applies when a holiday causes a three-day weekend such as Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day. Holiday and fall-color weekends fill first, so lock in dates well ahead.
