Campgrounds and RV parks near Marion, AR

Marion sits in Crittenden County just west of the Mississippi River, roughly ten minutes from downtown Memphis via I-40 or I-55. The location gives RV travelers quick access to both Arkansas Delta camping and Tennessee state parks on the opposite bank, which broadens the pool of sites and hookup options within a short drive. The closest full-hookup options cluster around West Memphis and Memphis. Tom Sawyer's RV Park sits directly on the banks of the Mississippi River in West Memphis, with easy-access pull-thrus offering 30 or 50 amp power, city water, and city sewer, and more than three dozen concrete sites in the shade of the woods or at the edge of the river. Memphis KOA Journey provides a standard KOA layout with pull-throughs and family amenities. Across the river, T.O. Fuller State Park and Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park offer wooded, state-run campgrounds inside the Tennessee State Parks reservation system. Cook's Lake RV Resort and Campground, located in the Shelby Forest area north of Memphis, provides a quieter, lake-oriented option away from the interstate corridor. Together these five properties cover the main camping styles a Marion-based trip is likely to need.

Reservation systems vary by property. Tennessee state park sites, including T.O. Fuller and Meeman-Shelby Forest, are booked through the Tennessee State Parks reservation portal. The maximum stay is 14 days, with 28 days allowed from December 1 to February 28/29, after which the camping party must vacate the park for three consecutive nights before returning. Private parks use their own systems. Memphis KOA Journey books through KOA.com or the KOA app. Tom Sawyer's takes reservations over the phone. For Cook's Lake RV Resort and Campground, contact the campground directly for reservations. Book riverside sites early for spring and fall weekends, and confirm river levels before arriving in April or May.
