Campgrounds and RV parks near La Habra Heights, CA

Theme parks dominate the itinerary for most families. Anaheim Harbor RV Park is roughly a 15 to 25 minute walk to the Disneyland Resort gate, and the nightly Disneyland fireworks are visible from the property. Orangeland RV Park sits a few miles from the same gate and provides a paved, landscaped base with pull-through sites for visiting Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm. For outdoor recreation, Bonelli Bluffs RV Resort and Campground is built into Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park, a 1,975 acre park with hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and the adjacent Raging Waters water park. Fairplex RV Park sits next to the LA County Fair grounds and the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum, with concerts, drag racing, and trade shows running through the year.

The area runs on a Mediterranean cycle: warm, almost rain-free summers and mild, wetter winters. In La Habra Heights, the summers are short, hot, arid, and clear and the winters are long, cool, wet, and partly cloudy. Over the course of the year, the temperature typically varies from 45°F to 87°F and is rarely below 38°F or above 96°F. Snow is effectively never a factor in town, though the nearby San Gabriel Mountains can pick up snow at elevation. Spring and fall are the easiest stretches for RV travel: warm days, cool nights, and minimal rain. Summer brings the highest demand because of Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, and school holidays, so weekend sites at Anaheim Harbor and Orangeland fill weeks ahead. Winter is the wettest season, with February typically the wettest month. Late summer through fall is also Southern California fire season, and the LA County Fair now runs in May, which spikes demand at Fairplex RV Park and the surrounding Pomona parks.

Sites in this corridor are urban-style: paved pads, full hookups, pools, and laundry rather than wooded backcountry. Anaheim Harbor RV Park accommodates manufactured RVs up to 40 feet, with full hookups, 30 and 50 amp service, a heated pool, and clean restrooms with hot showers. Orangeland RV Park has paved pull-through sites, a heated pool and spa, and citrus trees throughout the property. Bonelli Bluffs RV Resort and Campground features 504 large paved full hookup sites, including 15 pull-through spaces, with many offering views of Puddingstone Lake and room to extend slideouts on level pads. Expect freeway noise at the closer-in parks, tight maneuvering at older properties, and check-in windows that typically start in the early afternoon.
