Campgrounds and RV parks near Grant-Valkaria, FL

Grant-Valkaria sits in southern Brevard County along the western shore of the Indian River Lagoon, roughly between Palm Bay and Sebastian on Florida's Space Coast. The town is part of the Palm Bay-Melbourne-Titusville metropolitan area and lies south of Melbourne with coastal waterways and rural residential areas. RV travelers use it as a quiet base for lagoon fishing, barrier-island beaches, and rocket viewing along the coast. RV options in the immediate area range from small, long-established parks such as Orbit RV Park Inc, Camelot RV Park Inc, and Breezeway Trailer Park and RV Park, to the large beachfront community at Outdoor Resorts-Melbourne Beach on the barrier island. For a state-park experience directly on the water, Sebastian Inlet State Park's campground sits on the south side of the inlet, a short drive south along A1A. The area works well for families who want beach access without the crowds of Cocoa Beach or Vero Beach, and for snowbirds looking for a warm, low-key winter base with easy access to grocery stores, marinas, and boat ramps.

Sebastian Inlet State Park is reserved through the Florida State Parks system. Reservations can be made 11 months in advance for Florida residents, or 10 months in advance for non-residents, and campsites can book up fast, especially in peak season and over holiday weekends, so book at least three months in advance. Maximum rig size is limited to 40 feet, and all reservable sites have 30-amp ground-faulted electric service. Book online through the Florida State Parks reservation website or call 800-326-3521. Outdoor Resorts-Melbourne Beach is booked directly through the resort and accommodates larger motorhomes and fifth wheels, though rig-length limits vary by site, so confirm dimensions when reserving. Smaller private parks such as Orbit RV Park Inc, Camelot RV Park Inc, and Breezeway Trailer Park and RV Park are booked directly by phone; call well ahead for winter stays.
