Campgrounds and RV parks near Madeira Beach, FL

Madeira Beach sits on a barrier island along Florida's Gulf coast in Pinellas County, roughly 20 minutes west of downtown St. Petersburg and 40 minutes from Tampa International Airport. RV travelers use the town as a beach base, with nearby causeways connecting to inland campgrounds, urban parks, and the wider Tampa Bay area. Most RV parks near Madeira Beach are privately owned and located a short drive inland, in Pinellas Park, Largo, Clearwater, and St. Petersburg. Options within roughly 20 minutes of the beach include Bickley RV Park, St. Petersburg / Madeira Beach KOA Holiday, Roycroft RV Park, Indian Rocks Travel Park, and Yankee Traveler RV Park. Sites are typically level with full hookups and paved or shell pads. The closest public camping is at Fort De Soto Park, a Pinellas County park spread across interconnected islands with miles of Gulf-facing beaches. It offers a coastal alternative to the private inland parks, though the two systems use different reservation rules and booking windows.

Private parks like Bickley RV Park, St. Petersburg / Madeira Beach KOA Holiday, Roycroft RV Park, Indian Rocks Travel Park, and Yankee Traveler RV Park take reservations directly by phone or through their own websites, or via aggregator platforms. Winter sites often require deposits and minimum stays, and long-term monthly guests hold many spots year over year. Fort De Soto Park uses the Pinellas County Parks reservation system. Non-residents can book up to six months in advance, and Pinellas County residents can book up to seven months out with proof of residency. Waterfront sites book quickly, and many sell out on the first day of availability.
