Oscar Scherer State Park sits about twenty minutes south toward Osprey.

Private RV resorts in the Sarasota area, including Palm Terrace, Sun Outdoors Sarasota, Linger Lodge RV Resort and Restaurant, Sarasota Lakes RV Resort, and Pleasant Lake RV Resort, take reservations directly through their websites or by phone. Winter monthly and seasonal stays should be locked in well before fall, since many parks sell out for the snowbird season. Florida residents can make reservations for cabins and RV, tent, boat and equestrian campsites 11 months in advance, and non-residents can make reservations 10 months in advance.
