Campgrounds and RV parks near Treasure Island, FL

Treasure Island sits on a barrier island on Florida's central Gulf Coast, connected to mainland Pinellas County by causeway. RV travelers typically base themselves at inland or bayside parks in Seminole, Largo, and St. Petersburg, since the barrier island itself is dense residential and vacation-rental territory with no campground on the beach. The closest full-service option is St. Petersburg / Madeira Beach KOA Holiday, a waterfront property along Long Bayou with a heated pool, two hot tubs, kayak rentals, and access to the Pinellas Trail. Smaller nearby parks include Bickley RV Park and Roycroft RV Park in Seminole, Roberts Mh and RV Resort, and Rainbow Village of Largo, a 55-plus community in Largo. For a county park experience, Fort De Soto Park sits about 25 minutes south on Mullet Key, with 236 family campsites spread across three camping areas on the water. Together these options give RV renters a mix of resort-style, snowbird, and public-park camping within a short drive of Treasure Island's beaches.

Private parks such as St. Petersburg / Madeira Beach KOA Holiday, Bickley RV Park, Roycroft RV Park, Roberts Mh and RV Resort, and Rainbow Village of Largo take reservations directly through their websites or by phone; the KOA can also be booked through KOA.com. For winter stays, book four to six months ahead, since monthly snowbird slots often sell out by late summer. For Fort De Soto Park, reservations are handled by Pinellas County Parks and Conservation Resources through the county's online reservation system, not Recreation.gov or ReserveAmerica. Non-residents can reserve up to six months in advance, while Pinellas County residents can book up to seven months out. Bookings can also be made by calling 727-582-2100. Sites for winter weekends often fill on the first day of availability, so plan ahead.
