Campgrounds and RV parks near Olin, IA

Olin sits in Jones County in eastern Iowa, along the Wapsipinicon River corridor between Cedar Rapids and Dubuque. The area is defined by wooded river bluffs, limestone outcrops, and rolling farmland, which makes for a compact cluster of RV-friendly campgrounds within a short drive of town. The closest public option is Wapsipinicon State Park, just outside Anamosa, which offers a fully reservable campground with electric sites, showers, and river access. Private parks fill in the map around it: Cedar Valley Grove Campground and Blue Inn Campground serve travelers looking for full-hookup sites and quieter, small-park settings, while Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort: Monticello focuses on family amenities such as a pool, planned activities, and cabins. Riverview Ridge Campgrounds rounds out the local options with river-view sites. Most sites in the area are suitable for travel trailers and Class C motorhomes. Larger Class A rigs should confirm site length and turn radius before booking, especially at older state park loops.

Iowa state park sites, including those at Wapsipinicon State Park, are reserved through the Iowa State Parks reservation system on ReserveAmerica. The Wapsipinicon campground is 100 percent reservable and accepts reservations from April 1 through October 31, until 10:00 pm the day of arrival. Iowa's booking window is short: sites open up to three months ahead of the arrival date, so summer weekends should be locked in as soon as they release. Weekend stays from May through October require a two-night minimum, and Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends require three nights. Private campgrounds such as Cedar Valley Grove Campground, Blue Inn Campground, Riverview Ridge Campgrounds, and Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort: Monticello take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. Confirm cancellation terms before paying, since Jellystone resorts and holiday weekends often require multi-night minimums and non-refundable deposits.
