Campgrounds and RV parks near Eureka, KS

Eureka sits in Greenwood County in the Flint Hills of southeast Kansas, within driving distance of two state parks that anchor most RV trips in the area. Fall River State Park lies in Greenwood County, along Fall River Reservoir near the community of Fall River, and sits within the grasslands of the Flint Hills. Cross Timbers State Park sits in Woodson County immediately south of Toronto, within the hills of the Verdigris River valley in southeast Kansas. Closest to town, Dunhams RV Park and Storage and Christian Hills Camp And Resort provide private-park options for travelers who want a base near Eureka itself. For lake access, Wind Hill and Quarry Bay campgrounds sit inside Fall River State Park along Fall River Reservoir, while Woodson Cove at Cross Timbers State Park sits on Toronto Reservoir, roughly an hour to the east. The area is rural and quiet, with two-lane highways connecting small towns, working ranches, and reservoir shorelines. RV travelers typically use Eureka as a hub for lake days, fishing, and Flint Hills drives.

Kansas state park campsites at Fall River and Cross Timbers are handled through the state reservation system operated by the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks on ReserveAmerica. Sites and cabins can be reserved up to 364 days in advance, and reservations for the upcoming calendar year open in early December. Summer weekends, holiday weekends, and fishing tournaments fill electric loops first, so lakefront sites with hookups should be reserved well in advance. Holiday weekends carry minimum-stay requirements at Kansas state parks, and a state park vehicle permit is required in addition to the camping fee. Dunhams RV Park and Storage and Christian Hills Camp And Resort are private operations; contact them directly to confirm availability, hookup type, and rig-length limits before arrival.
