Campgrounds and RV parks near Nenahnezad, NM

Nenahnezad sits in the San Juan River valley in northwestern New Mexico, a Navajo Nation chapter community located between Farmington and Shiprock in San Juan County. The area is part of the Farmington Metropolitan Statistical Area, and Farmington, about fifteen miles east, functions as the practical hub for fuel, groceries, and RV services. RV travelers use Nenahnezad as a Four Corners base camp within reach of major archaeological sites, Navajo Lake, and the Bisti badlands. Most full-hookup RV parks are clustered along the commercial corridors in and around Farmington rather than in Nenahnezad itself. The Working Man's RV Park, Homestead RV Park, Sundowner Mobile and RV Park, B and L RV Park and Storage, and Bluffview RV Park all put travelers close to town services while keeping day-trip drives to Chaco, Aztec Ruins, and Navajo Lake manageable. Elevation in the valley runs near 5,400 to 5,600 feet, so nights cool off even in mid-summer and shoulder-season trips need warmer bedding than the daytime highs suggest.

Private RV parks in the Farmington area, including The Working Man's RV Park, Homestead RV Park, Sundowner Mobile and RV Park, B and L RV Park and Storage, and Bluffview RV Park, are booked directly with each park by phone or through their own websites. Weekly and monthly rates are common, which makes the area workable as a longer Four Corners base. For public land, Gallo Campground inside Chaco Culture National Historical Park is reserved through Recreation.gov on a three-month rolling window, and unreserved sites become first-come, first-served at the visitor center after 11 a.m. Navajo Lake State Park sites are booked through the New Mexico State Parks reservation system on ReserveAmerica. Aztec Ruins National Monument has no campground and no entrance fee, so it is visited as a day trip.
