Campgrounds and RV parks near Peralta, NM

Peralta sits in the Rio Grande valley just south of Albuquerque, in Valencia County. RV travelers typically base out of parks in and around the Albuquerque metro, since Peralta itself is a small residential community without dedicated RV resorts. Isleta Lakes and RV Park, on Isleta Pueblo land a few miles north, is the closest full-hookup option and puts travelers within easy reach of Peralta, Los Lunas, and downtown Albuquerque. Moving north into the metro, High Desert RV Park, American RV Resort, and Enchanted Trails RV Park and Trading Post line the I-40 and Route 66 corridors on the west side of the city. El Rancho RV and Mobile Home Park offers longer-term style sites for travelers who want a quieter base. Elevation across the area runs roughly 4,900 to 5,300 feet, so nights cool off even in summer. Most parks stay open year-round, though amenities such as pools and shuttles run on seasonal schedules.

Booking practices vary by park. Isleta Lakes and RV Park operates on a first-come, first-served basis and does not take advance reservations, so early-day arrival is important during busy weekends. Other parks in the area, including American RV Resort, Enchanted Trails RV Park and Trading Post, and High Desert RV Park, accept reservations directly by phone or through their websites. For Balloon Fiesta week in early October, book as far ahead as possible. Reservations at the official Balloon Fiesta RV lots open in late January and sell out quickly, with a three-night minimum stay required. Nearby private parks also fill fast and often maintain waitlists for cancellations.
