Campgrounds and RV parks near Antwerp, NY

Antwerp sits in Jefferson County in northern New York, roughly midway between Watertown and the St. Lawrence River. The village serves as a practical base for RV travelers heading into the Thousand Islands region, a corridor of woodlands, islands, and water stretching along the St. Lawrence and known for boating and fishing. RV options within a short drive range from full-hookup private parks to state-run waterfront campgrounds. Natural Bridge / Watertown KOA Journey provides shaded sites and easy access to Route 3 and Interstate 81. Back Bay Campground and Cottages, North Country Cottages and Campgrounds, and McLear's Cottage Colony and Campground offer smaller, family-run alternatives with mixed RV and cottage inventory. For a waterfront state-park experience, Kring Point State Park occupies a narrow peninsula east of Alexandria Bay, with Goose Bay to the south and the St. Lawrence River to the north. About half of its one hundred campsites sit directly on the waterfront, and most others carry a river or bay view.

New York state parks, including Kring Point, are reserved through the ReserveAmerica system, either online or by phone at 1-800-456-2267. Campsite reservations can be made up to nine months in advance, and same-day reservations are accepted online until 3 p.m. on the day of arrival. Walk-ins are permitted on campsites only. Maximum stay at a state park campsite is fourteen continuous nights. A non-resident surcharge and weekend and holiday surcharges apply on top of the base nightly rate. Private campgrounds such as Natural Bridge / Watertown KOA Journey, Back Bay Campground and Cottages, North Country Cottages and Campgrounds, and McLear's Cottage Colony and Campground book directly through their own websites or, for the KOA, through the KOA network. Reserve waterfront and full-hookup sites several months out for July and August weekends.
