Campgrounds and RV parks near Chateaugay, NY

Chateaugay sits in far northern Franklin County, just south of the Quebec border and on the northern edge of the six-million-acre Adirondack Park. The village is roughly midway between Malone and Plattsburgh, with Lake Champlain about 40 miles east and the High Peaks region well to the south. This position gives RV travelers access to two very different landscapes: rolling farmland and river valleys around the village itself, and the lakes, rivers, and mountain trails of the northern Adirondacks a short drive away. Private RV parks in the immediate area include Ponderosa Campsite and Pine Ridge Park Campsite for closer stays, plus Blue Haven Campground and Resort near Ellenburg Depot, which sits on the shores of Lake Roxanne with direct access to the North Branch of the Great Chazy River. Deer River Campsites offers another option in the Malone area, and Domaine Frontiere Enchantee provides a cross-border choice just north in Quebec. Most private campgrounds in this region cater specifically to RV travelers with full hookups, pull-through sites, and family amenities.
