Country Knolls is a residential CDP in Saratoga County, New York, sitting inside the town of Clifton Park roughly halfway between Albany and Saratoga Springs. Most campgrounds used by visitors are located a short drive outside the CDP itself. Options range from larger family resorts with pools and water attractions to smaller river-side RV parks. Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - Deer Run is a large wooded resort in Schaghticoke, about 20 minutes from Saratoga Springs. Together these parks cover a broad mix of trip styles, from concert and race-day camping near Saratoga to riverfront hookups convenient to the Capital Region.

For public campgrounds, New York uses a single reservation system. Reservations must be made through the ReserveAmerica system rather than by calling individual campgrounds, and sites can be booked up to 9 months in advance. New reservation windows open at 8 AM on weekdays and 9 AM on weekends from March 15 through Labor Day. This applies to both OPRHP state parks and DEC campgrounds in the Adirondacks and Catskills. Private parks book directly with the operator. Arrowhead Marina and RV Park, Whispering Pines Campsites and RV Park, and Adventure Bound Deer Run each take reservations through their own websites or by phone. For race meet or concert weekends near Saratoga Springs, book as early in the season as possible, since these dates sell out first.
