Campgrounds and RV parks near Scottsville, NY

Scottsville sits in Monroe County along the Genesee River, roughly fifteen minutes southwest of Rochester and within easy reach of the western Finger Lakes. The village works well as an RV base: interstates 90 and 390 are close, grocery and fuel stops are plentiful in the Rochester suburbs, and most campgrounds in the region lie within a forty-five minute drive. Options range from private family resorts to lakeside parks. Timberline Lake Park Camping in Le Roy offers full hookup sites on a private lake. The Ridge NY provides another nearby private-park choice. Southwoods RV Resort and Adventure Bound Southwoods sit farther south in the Corning-Painted Post area, while Conesus Lake Campground gives direct access to the northernmost Finger Lake. Day-trip range from Scottsville covers Letchworth State Park, the Erie Canal towpath, and Lake Ontario shoreline parks, so travelers can pick a base camp and rotate destinations across a week.

New York state park sites, including those at Letchworth State Park, are reserved through ReserveAmerica on the state's official system. The booking window opens nine months in advance on a rolling daily basis, and prime summer weekends at Letchworth are commonly claimed the day they open. Private parks handle reservations directly. Timberline Lake Park Camping, The Ridge NY, Conesus Lake Campground, Adventure Bound Southwoods, and Southwoods RV Resort each take bookings by phone or through their own websites, typically with a deposit at the time of reservation. Cancellation windows and minimum-stay rules vary, so travelers should confirm site length, hookup amperage, and rig-length limits before paying.
