The mix of state park loops and private parks lets renters match site size, gate hours, and amenity level to the trip.

Jordan Lake campsites are reserved through the North Carolina State Parks reservation system on ReserveAmerica. Reservations must be made in advance of the stay, with a 14-day maximum within any 30-day period. After hitting the 14-day limit, campers must vacate the park for 16 nights before returning. Most sites at Crosswinds, Poplar Point, and Parkers Creek can be booked online, but Loops 3 and 4 at Parkers Creek and Loop E at Poplar Point are walk-up only, first-come first-served, and cannot be reserved in advance or through the call center. Spring Hill Park and Goodwins RV Campground are private operations. Reservations are handled directly with each park, and short-notice bookings are sometimes possible when sites are open.
