Campgrounds and RV parks near Blawnox, PA

Blawnox is a small borough in Allegheny County along the Allegheny River, roughly nine miles upriver from downtown Pittsburgh. It sits inside the Pittsburgh metropolitan area, which gives RV travelers quick access to city attractions while keeping wooded ridge campgrounds within a short drive. The surrounding terrain is hilly, cut by river valleys, and largely covered in mixed hardwood forest. RV travelers typically base out of private campgrounds in the surrounding townships rather than in Blawnox itself. Wallace Trailer Sales and Court sits closest to the borough, while Mountain Top Campground offers sites northeast of the city. Madison/Pittsburgh SE KOA Journey, Smith Grove Camp Grounds, and Fox Den Acres Campgrounds extend the options east and southeast along the interstate corridors. Full hookups are most common at the KOA and select private parks, while partial hookups are the norm at smaller campgrounds. Most properties in the region operate seasonally, with peak availability from spring through fall.
