Campgrounds and RV parks near Everson, PA

Everson is a small borough in Fayette County in southwestern Pennsylvania, sitting on Jacob's Creek about an hour southeast of Pittsburgh. The town itself is compact, but its location on the western edge of the Laurel Highlands puts RV travelers within easy reach of state parks, whitewater rivers, and Frank Lloyd Wright architecture. Most visitors use the area as a base for outdoor recreation rather than for the borough itself. RV parks in the surrounding countryside range from full-hookup family resorts to wooded state-park sites. The Blue Canoe RV Resort and Fox Den Acres Campgrounds sit closest to Everson, while Madison/Pittsburgh SE KOA Journey is a short drive north toward the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Two Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort locations, including the Mill Run property, add family-focused options with pools and organized activities. Ohiopyle State Park anchors most trip plans in this corner of the state, encompassing about 20,500 acres of rugged terrain along the Youghiogheny River Gorge, with hiking, cycling on the Great Allegheny Passage, and class III and IV whitewater rafting.

Pennsylvania state park sites, including Kentuck Campground at Ohiopyle, are booked through the Pennsylvania State Parks reservation system on ReserveAmerica. Campsite reservations open 11 months in advance, and reservations must be made at least three days ahead of arrival. Summer weekends and holidays typically sell out the day the 11-month window opens. Private campgrounds such as The Blue Canoe RV Resort, Fox Den Acres Campgrounds, Madison/Pittsburgh SE KOA Journey, and the two Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort locations, including the Mill Run property, take reservations directly through their own websites or, for KOA and Jellystone, through their brand booking portals. Holding a specific pull-through or full-hookup site generally requires booking several months out for peak weekends.
