Campgrounds and RV parks near Herminie, PA

Herminie sits in Westmoreland County, roughly 25 miles southeast of Pittsburgh and within short driving range of the Laurel Highlands. RV renters using Herminie as a base can reach a mix of private RV parks, a KOA Journey property, and a Pennsylvania state park campground without long transfer drives, which makes the area workable for both weekend trips and longer regional tours. Close-in private options include Madison/Pittsburgh SE KOA Journey, Fox Den Acres Campgrounds, The Blue Canoe RV Resort, and Wallace Trailer Sales and Court. These sites generally offer full or partial hookups, dump stations, and pull-through capacity suited to larger rentals. For a state-park experience, Lakeside - Keystone State Park provides lakeside sites within Keystone State Park, giving renters direct access to the park's lake, trails, and day-use areas. Keystone State Park itself covers roughly 1,200 acres and is set up for day trips and family vacations year round, which gives renters a public-land anchor point close to the private parks around Herminie.

For Lakeside - Keystone State Park, reservations go through the Pennsylvania State Parks and Forests reservation system. Reservations can be made up to 11 months in advance for most state park and state forest overnight stays, using the Pennsylvania State Parks and Forests Reservations website or by calling 888-PA-PARKS (888-727-2757), Monday through Saturday, from 7:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. Most campsites in Pennsylvania state parks can be reserved 11 months in advance to noon of the day of arrival, so summer weekends should be locked in early. Private options such as Madison/Pittsburgh SE KOA Journey, Fox Den Acres Campgrounds, The Blue Canoe RV Resort, and Wallace Trailer Sales and Court are booked directly through each property's website or phone line. Confirm rig-length limits, hookup amperage, and slide-out clearance when booking a rental RV, and ask about pet policies if traveling with animals.
