Dan’s camper was perfect for our weekend camping trip. It was clean, organized, and fit our family of 4 with plenty of room. Dan was very helpful at pick up and drop off getting everything hooked up and offloaded.

How to book campgrounds near Liberty
For private parks, book directly through each campground. Madison/Pittsburgh SE KOA Journey uses the KOA reservation platform, with exceptions to the national KOA cancellation policy that require two weeks notice for holiday weekends and stays exceeding 21 days. Wallace Trailer Sales and Court, Fox Den Acres Campgrounds, Mountain Top Campground, and The Blue Canoe RV Resort each handle their own reservations by phone or website.
For Pennsylvania state park campgrounds like Ohiopyle's Kentuck Campground, reservations run through the Pennsylvania State Parks system on ReserveAmerica. Campsite reservations open 11 months in advance, while cottages and yurts must be reserved a minimum of three days in advance.
What to expect
Terrain around Liberty is hilly, with floodplains along the Youghiogheny River and steeper grades as travelers move southeast toward the Laurel Ridge. Some access roads to state park campgrounds are steep and not recommended for large rigs. At Kentuck Campground, SR 2019 is very steep and large RVs should avoid it, taking PA 40 to SR 2010 instead.
Hookups vary widely. Madison/Pittsburgh SE KOA Journey offers premium sites with sewer, water, and 50 or 30 amp electric, and standard pull-through sites with sewer, water, and 30 amp. Most Pennsylvania state parks lack full hookups; at Kentuck, select sites offer electric hookups but no full hookups, and availability fills quickly.
Summer weekends near Pittsburgh and the Laurel Highlands book out well in advance, so plan reservations early and confirm site length, hookups, and road access before arrival.
