Campgrounds and RV parks near DeBordieu Colony, SC

DeBordieu Colony is a private, gated oceanfront community in Georgetown County, South Carolina, on the Waccamaw Neck between Pawleys Island and Georgetown. The colony itself is closed to the public, so RV travelers stay at nearby campgrounds and day-trip to the surrounding beaches, rivers, and Lowcountry attractions. The closest full-service RV camping is at Huntington Beach State Park in Murrells Inlet, roughly a 15-mile drive north. Further up U.S. 17, the south end of Myrtle Beach holds a cluster of large oceanfront resorts, including Ocean Lakes Family Campground, Lakewood Camping Resort, and Pirateland Family Campground. Inland options along the Waccamaw River and Intracoastal Waterway, such as Bucksport Plantation Marina and RV Resort, offer a quieter marina-based alternative. Together these parks cover the range from state-park natural setting to full-amenity family resorts with water parks and beach houses, giving renters flexibility on price, crowd level, and hookup type within about a 30-mile radius of DeBordieu.

Huntington Beach State Park is managed by South Carolina State Parks and takes reservations up to 12 months in advance through the official state-park reservation system or by phone. The park has 173 sites split between standard water and electric loops and full-hookup pads, plus six designated tent sites; summer weekends and holidays typically book up quickly once the 12-month window opens. The private Grand Strand resorts run their own reservation systems. Ocean Lakes Family Campground accepts campsite reservations up to 18 months in advance and books by specific site number, which is useful when locking in an oceanfront row. Lakewood Camping Resort, Pirateland Family Campground, and Bucksport Plantation Marina and RV Resort each take direct bookings by phone or website, with holiday weekends filling earliest.
