Campgrounds and RV parks near Homewood, SC

Homewood is an unincorporated community in Horry County, South Carolina, sitting just north of Conway at the junction of SC Highway 319 and US Highway 701. The area is farm country: tobacco, corn, soybean, and tomato fields line the back roads, with the Waccamaw River corridor to the east and Myrtle Beach roughly a 30 to 45 minute drive to the southeast. RV travelers use Homewood as a quieter inland base for reaching the Grand Strand without paying oceanfront rates or fighting Highway 17 traffic every night. Nearby options range from small, no-frills parks to full resort properties. Williamson RV and Mobile Home Park and Crooked Oaks RV Park sit closest to town, while Big Cypress Lake RV Park and Fishing Retreat, Hideaway RV Resort - Myrtle Beach, and Carolina Pines RV Resort offer larger footprints with more amenities toward the coast. Most sites in the area are pull-through or back-in with full hookups, and roads generally accommodate big rigs pulling in from I-95 via US 501 or from the coast via SC 90.

Private RV parks handle the bulk of camping around Homewood, and each takes reservations directly through its own website or phone line. Carolina Pines RV Resort lists availability online and stays open year-round. Smaller properties like Williamson RV and Mobile Home Park and Crooked Oaks RV Park often prefer phone bookings, and long-term monthly rates are common. Big Cypress Lake RV Park and Fishing Retreat and Hideaway RV Resort - Myrtle Beach also book direct. For state-park camping, South Carolina State Parks use the reservation portal at SouthCarolinaParks.com. Huntington Beach State Park, the closest coastal option, opens a rolling 13-month booking window, and summer weekends there sell out quickly after release. Deposits, cancellation windows, and pet policies vary by property. Confirm rig length limits and hookup amperage before booking, especially for coaches over 40 feet.
