Campgrounds and RV parks near Woodbury, TN

Woodbury sits in Cannon County in the valley of the East Fork of the Stones River, about 55 miles southeast of Nashville and 19 miles east of Murfreesboro. That places RV travelers within an easy drive of several Tennessee State Parks campgrounds along the Highland Rim and Central Basin, all bookable through the state's central reservation system. The closest state park camping is at Old Stone Fort State Archaeological Park in Manchester, which protects a prehistoric Native American earthwork believed to date to the Middle Woodland period, and its campground offers 50 wooded sites with water and electric hookups, hard-surface pads, and a year-round dump station. To the northeast, Edgar Evins State Park sits on the shoreline of Center Hill Lake with wooden platform-type sites reinforced with concrete and steel built into the slopes. Cedars Of Lebanon State Park lies about 40 minutes east of Nashville and has three camping areas set within the surrounding cedar glade forest. Private options in the area include The Broken Banjo RV Park and Cedar Point Campground, both useful for travelers who need full hookups or a shorter drive to Woodbury proper.

State park sites at Old Stone Fort, Edgar Evins, and Cedars Of Lebanon are all reserved through the official Tennessee State Parks system, either online or by phone. Advanced reservations may be made up to 1 year in advance, and there is a non-refundable $5 advanced reservation fee per campsite. Reservations cancelled two or more days before arrival are refunded minus the reservation fee, cancellations one day prior forfeit the first night's fees, and same-day cancellations on stays of two or more days forfeit the first two nights. Cedars Of Lebanon also accepts first-come, first-served campers, but reservations are strongly recommended in late spring, summer, and early fall. Phone reservations at Edgar Evins route to the camp store from March through October and to the park office from November through February. Private parks such as The Broken Banjo RV Park and Cedar Point Campground are booked directly through the operator.
