Campgrounds and RV parks near Geronimo, TX

Geronimo is a small unincorporated community in Guadalupe County, positioned between Seguin and New Braunfels along State Highway 123. The area sits on the edge of the eastern Texas Hill Country, close to the Guadalupe River, Geronimo Creek, and the string of hydro lakes managed by the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority, including Lake Dunlap northwest of Seguin. RVers use Geronimo as a base for reaching San Antonio (about 40 miles southwest), Austin, San Marcos, and the tubing towns of New Braunfels and Gruene. Interstate 10 and Interstate 35 both run within a short drive, making highway access straightforward for larger rigs. Campground options in the immediate area lean toward mid-sized private RV parks with full hookups rather than public land. The Dam Park, Canopy RV Resort, Twin Palms RV Park, New Braunfels RV Park, and River Shade RV Park cover most needs, from riverfront sites near the Guadalupe to highway-adjacent parks convenient for touring the region.

The campgrounds near Geronimo are privately operated, so reservations go directly through each park rather than a state or federal system like ReserveAmerica or Recreation.gov. Most take bookings by phone or through their own websites, and holds usually require a deposit and a card on file. For summer weekends, Memorial Day through Labor Day, and any weekend tied to New Braunfels tubing, book riverfront and pool-equipped parks such as The Dam Park, Canopy RV Resort, and River Shade RV Park several weeks ahead. Spring break and the Wurstfest period in early November also fill quickly. Confirm rig length limits, big-rig turning radius, 50-amp availability, and any pet, age-of-RV, or minimum-stay rules when booking, since private-park policies vary.
