Campgrounds and RV parks near Snyderville, UT

Water recreation drives summer trips. The reservoir at Jordanelle supports boating, fishing (Jordanelle is known for trout), hiking and biking, and water sports including swimming, water skiing, kayaking, and paddleboarding. A wake-free zone at Hailstone is a good spot to learn stand-up paddleboarding, and nonmotorized trails are open to foot and mountain-bike traffic. Rockport Reservoir supports similar activities from Twin Coves. During summer, fish, boat, and waterski on Rockport Reservoir. During winter, ice fish and access nearby snowmobile trails. Cross-country skiing is also popular in the surrounding area. In Park City itself, families use the alpine slide, mountain-bike trails, and the Utah Olympic Park. A bike path connects Park City RV Resort into Old Town Park City and links to many other trails in the area.

The Snyderville area sits above 6,000 feet, so the camping calendar is compressed. Summer and early fall are the reliable RV window: warm days, cool nights, and open reservoir access. Peak demand runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day, with the busiest weekends around the Fourth of July and Utah Pioneer Day in late July. Spring is a shoulder period. Snowmelt is still in progress at higher elevations, overnight lows can drop below freezing into May, and some water hookups may be shut off. Fall brings quieter campgrounds, aspen color in late September, and hunting season traffic in October. Winter is a distinct season here. Hailstone at Jordanelle State Park stays open year round, and Rockport State Park offers first-rate, year-round recreation including camping at Twin Coves. Park City RV Resort operates all year, which matters for ski-season RV stays near the Park City and Deer Valley resorts. Expect snow-covered sites, limited water service at some state-park loops, and ice-fishing conditions on the reservoirs.

Elevation shapes the trip. Sites sit between roughly 5,800 and 6,700 feet, so nights are cool even in July, afternoon thunderstorms are common in summer, and sun exposure is strong. Pack layers and check tire pressure after driving up from lower elevations. Campground styles vary. Park City RV Resort offers full hookups tiered into the hillside. State-park loops trend more rustic, with a mix of hookup and non-hookup sites and vault toilets at some loops. At Utah state parks, one camping unit and a maximum of eight people are allowed per campsite, a camping unit is one tent, one trailer, or one camper, not a combination or multiple of the above, and only one vehicle is allowed per campsite. Some campsites may accommodate additional vehicles.
