An RV rental in Sussex Corner is one of the most affordable ways to experience the Bay of Fundy region. On RVezy, towable trailers near Sussex Corner typically range from about $100 to $175 CAD per night, while motorhomes generally range from about $200 to $300 CAD per night, plus mileage, fuel, and any add-ons you choose. You can stretch your budget further by booking mid-week, traveling in the May or September shoulder seasons, or taking advantage of weekly discounts that many hosts offer. rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Sussex%20Corner%2C%20New%20BrunswickWhat license do I need to rent an RV in Sussex Corner?
Your regular Class 5 driver's licence is all you need to rent an RV in Sussex Corner, whether you're picking up a campervan, travel trailer, or Class C motorhome. New Brunswick does not require a special licence or commercial endorsement for personal RVs under 11,000 kg. You must be 25 or older to be an approved driver on RVezy, and you'll confirm your identity inside the platform during checkout, so there's no extra paperwork at pickup. Visiting from outside Canada? Bring your home licence plus an International Driving Permit if your licence isn't in English or French. Most first-time renters are surprised how straightforward the whole process is.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039008774-Understanding-approved-driver-requirementsWhat protection is included when I rent an RV in Sussex Corner?
You're covered from the moment you book. Every RV rental in Sussex Corner through RVezy includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can hit the Trans-Canada Highway toward Fundy National Park with real peace of mind. The protection plan helps cover damage to the RV during your trip, and you choose your preferred coverage level during checkout, picking the option that best fits your comfort and budget. It provides meaningful financial protection so a small mishap doesn't derail your Sussex Corner RV trip. Pro tip: review the coverage tiers carefully during booking, then save the 24/7 roadside support number to your phone before you leave the driveway.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I cancel my Sussex Corner RV rental if my plans change?
Yes, booking is low-risk. RVezy sets the cancellation policy for every booking, which means you get consistent, transparent rules no matter which listing you pick. There's a grace period after booking where you can cancel for a full refund, and the refund amount after that depends on how close you are to your trip start date, so the earlier you let us know, the better your options. If a host ever cancels on you, RVezy will refund your booking or help you rebook. Pro tip: message the host before booking with any what-ifs, then review the full cancellation details on the RVezy Help Centre so you can book your Fundy adventure with confidence.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037736674-Understanding-the-cancellation-policy-for-guestsCan I bring my dog on a Sussex Corner RV trip?
Yes, your pup is welcome on plenty of adventures. Use the Pet-Friendly filter on RVezy to instantly narrow your search to pet-friendly RV rental Sussex Corner listings, and you'll find lots of hosts happy to host four-legged guests (some charge a small pet fee or cleaning add-on, listed right on the page). Once you're rolling, dogs on leash are welcome on most trails at nearby Fundy National Park, including the easy Dickson Falls boardwalk, and along the Sussex riverfront walking paths. Pro tip: pack a tie-out, collapsible water bowl, and a towel for muddy Bay of Fundy paws.
parks.canada.ca/pn-np/nb/fundy/visit/animaux-petsCan the RV be delivered to my campsite near Sussex Corner?
Yes, and it's the easiest way to start your trip. Many hosts offering RV delivery in Sussex Corner will drive the RV right to your campsite at Sussex KOA Holiday, a campground inside Fundy National Park such as Headquarters or Point Wolfe, or even your cottage driveway in Penobsquis or Smiths Creek. They'll level it, hook up power and water, and walk you through every system from the propane stove to the awning, so you can skip the towing learning curve entirely. Use the Delivery filter on RVezy to find these hosts, and check each listing for delivery range and fees, typically based on distance. Pro tip: delivery is a game changer for a first time renting an RV, especially if you're flying into Saint John or Moncton airport.
parks.canada.ca/pn-np/nb/fundy/activ/campingHow does mileage work, and how far can I drive from Sussex Corner?
You'll have plenty of road ahead of you. Each host sets their own mileage policy, with many offering a generous daily allowance and some offering RV rental with unlimited mileage, all clearly shown on the listing before you book. From Sussex Corner you're perfectly positioned for short hops and longer loops: Fundy National Park is about 55 km (under an hour), Hopewell Rocks about 75 km, Saint John about 75 km, Moncton about 80 km, and the Confederation Bridge to Prince Edward Island roughly 200 km. A classic RV road trip from Sussex Corner loops the Fundy Coastal Drive in two to three days. Pro tip: estimate your total kilometres before booking and message the host if you'll exceed the included allowance to lock in a per-km rate.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037842693-How-the-mileage-fee-worksWhere are the best campgrounds near Sussex Corner?
You're spoiled for choice. Top picks for RV camping near Sussex Corner include Sussex KOA Holiday on Aiton Road (a popular park with full hookups and family amenities), All Done RV Park in Smiths Creek (a quieter spot with full-service sites along the Kennebecasis River), and the campgrounds inside Fundy National Park such as Headquarters, Point Wolfe, and Chignecto North, which offer a mix of serviced and unserviced sites close to the coast. Pro tip: the area fills up fast for the Atlantic Balloon Fiesta in September and the Sussex Flea Market weekend, so reserve summer holiday weekends two to three months ahead.
parks.canada.ca/pn-np/nb/fundy/activ/campingWhen is the best time to rent an RV in Sussex Corner?
Late June through mid-September is the sweet spot for a Sussex Corner RV trip, with comfortable daytime highs typically in the low to mid 20s°C in July and August and long daylight hours for exploring the Bay of Fundy. Late May and early June bring fewer crowds and blooming countryside, while September layers in cool nights, the Atlantic Balloon Fiesta, and the first hints of fall colour across the Kennebecasis Valley. October offers stunning foliage but chilly evenings, so look for an RV with a furnace. Pro tip: book Fundy National Park campsites the moment Parks Canada's reservation system opens each winter, then secure your RV rental right after.
climate.weather.gc.ca/climate_normals/index_e.htmlI've never rented an RV before. Will I be okay in Sussex Corner?
You've got this. A first time renting an RV in Sussex Corner is easier than most people expect because every RVezy host gives you a hands-on orientation at pickup, walking you through how to start the generator, fill the fresh water tank, dump the grey and black tanks, deploy the awning, and operate the propane stove and furnace. You can message your host with questions before you even book, and many will share tips for local routes like the gentle drive out to Fundy National Park on Route 114. Pro tip: ask for a smaller Class C motorhome or campervan rental in Sussex Corner for your first trip, request delivery, and choose a campground with full hookups so you can focus on enjoying the trip.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039008774-Understanding-approved-driver-requirementsWhat happens if something goes wrong on the road?
You're never on your own. Every RV rental in Sussex Corner includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the RVezy renter protection plan, covering common headaches like a flat tire, dead battery, lockout, or running out of fuel on the Trans-Canada Highway. Just call the number provided at checkout and help will be dispatched. For mechanical or RV system questions, message your host directly through the RVezy app, they know their rig inside out. Cell coverage is solid along Route 1 and around Sussex, but it can thin out inside Fundy National Park, so screenshot key contact info before heading into the park. Pro tip: do a quick walk-around every morning to catch small issues like tire pressure before they become bigger ones.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take my Sussex Corner RV rental into the United States or other provinces?
Cross-border and cross-province trips are often possible, you just need to confirm with your host first. Many hosts in New Brunswick allow travel into Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island (across the Confederation Bridge, about 200 km from Sussex Corner), Quebec, and across the Calais/St. Stephen border into Maine, USA. Travel to Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance coverage does not extend there. Before booking, message the host through the listing to confirm your planned route so coverage and any cross-border fees are sorted in advance. Pro tip: a popular RV road trip from Sussex Corner is the Atlantic loop, Sussex Corner to PEI to Cape Breton Highlands and back, in 7 to 10 days.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validityWhat about fuel costs for an RV trip from Sussex Corner?
Fuel is one of your bigger trip costs, but it's predictable. Expect a Class C motorhome to use roughly 16 to 22 L/100 km, travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle, and a compact campervan can do about 12 to 15 L/100 km. New Brunswick gasoline prices are regulated weekly by the Energy and Utilities Board, so what you see at the pump in Sussex is close to what most of the province charges that week. Plan stops at the Irving Big Stop in Sussex, just off Route 1, for diesel, propane, and easy RV access. Pro tip: a 3-day, 500 km loop to Fundy National Park and Hopewell Rocks typically runs $120 to $180 CAD in fuel for a mid-size motorhome.
nbeub.ca/How far in advance should I book a campground near Sussex Corner?
For peace of mind, book your campground first, then your RV. Fundy National Park reservations open each winter through the Parks Canada Reservation Service, and oceanfront sites at Headquarters and Point Wolfe sell out quickly for July and August weekends. Private parks like Sussex KOA Holiday and All Done RV Park accept bookings online well in advance, and you'll want to lock in early for the Atlantic Balloon Fiesta in September and the Sussex Flea Market in summer. Shoulder-season trips in late May, early June, or late September are usually bookable just a couple of weeks out. Pro tip: aim for two to four nights at each stop so you actually enjoy each Bay of Fundy destination instead of just driving through.
reservation.pc.gc.ca/What are the roads and driving conditions like around Sussex Corner?
Sussex Corner is one of the easier places in Atlantic Canada to drive an RV. The Trans-Canada Highway (Route 2) and Route 1 run right past town with wide lanes and gentle grades, ideal for first-time motorhome rental drivers in Sussex Corner. Heading to Fundy National Park, Route 114 winds through the Caledonia Hills with a few moderate climbs and curves, so take it slow and use lower gears on descents. Watch for moose at dawn and dusk, especially on rural Route 111 to St. Martins. Winter (December to March) brings snow and ice, so most RV rentals are seasonal. Pro tip: check NB 511 for live road, construction, and weather updates before every leg of your trip.
gnb.ca/en/services/services_renderer.201233.NB_511.htmlWhat amenities will I find at campgrounds around Sussex Corner?
You'll have everything you need within minutes of town. Sussex KOA Holiday and All Done RV Park offer 30/50 amp full hookup sites (water, sewer, electric), Wi-Fi, hot showers, laundry, and dump stations, while the campgrounds inside Fundy National Park offer a mix of serviced and unserviced sites with potable water fill stations and centralized dump stations. Need to dump or fill up mid-trip? The Irving Big Stop in Sussex has propane and an RV-friendly layout, and many private campgrounds along the Fundy Coastal Drive allow paid use of their dump stations. Pro tip: top up your fresh water tank before heading into Fundy National Park to enjoy the more remote sites without worry.
parks.canada.ca/pn-np/nb/fundy/activ/campingWhat's actually inside the RVs I can rent in Sussex Corner?
More than you might expect. A typical RV rental in Sussex Corner comes fully equipped with sleeping for 4 to 8 people, a kitchen with fridge/freezer, propane stove, microwave, sink, and cookware, a bathroom with toilet and shower, dinette and lounge seating with seatbelts for travel, and climate control (furnace and air conditioning when on shore power or generator). Many hosts include linens, outdoor chairs, a BBQ, and a generator for off-grid stays in Fundy National Park. Cell service can be spotty in the Caledonia Hills, so plan to download maps and entertainment ahead. Pro tip: check each listing's amenity list and message the host to confirm specifics like a Murphy bed or bunkhouse layout for the kids.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Sussex%20Corner%2C%20New%20BrunswickWhat add-ons and pickup options should I know about?
Hosts make it easy to customize your trip. Common add-ons for an RV rental in Sussex Corner include delivery and setup, bedding and kitchen packages, BBQ rental, generator use, bike racks, kayak racks, and pet fees, all clearly priced on the listing. Pickup is usually at the host's home in or near Sussex Corner, Sussex, Penobsquis, or Hampton, and they'll spend 30 to 60 minutes walking you through the rig. Drop-off times are flexible if you message the host in advance. Pro tip: if you're flying into Saint John (YSJ, about 75 km away) or Moncton (YQM, about 80 km away), ask the host about airport delivery to save the rental car shuffle entirely.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Sussex%20Corner%2C%20New%20BrunswickHow does payment and the security deposit work?
Payment is simple, secure, and all handled inside RVezy. You'll pay your full booking total (rental, mileage estimate, protection plan, delivery, taxes) by credit card at checkout, and a refundable security deposit, typically a few hundred dollars depending on the RV, is pre-authorized on your card separately before pickup. After your trip wraps up and the host confirms the RV came back in good shape with full fuel and clean tanks, the deposit is released back to you, usually within a few days. To avoid issues, do a quick walk-around video at both pickup and drop-off, and follow the host's instructions on fuel and tank dumping. Pro tip: keep all communication inside the RVezy app so everything is documented if questions ever come up.
