We rented Thor RV from Jason and cannot speak highly enough on our entire experience 5/5. Everything from this rental site to communication to RV pickup/drop off to the RV making our drive/camp-out seamless. The RV was stocked with linens, toiletries, dishes, small appliances and some spices. Everything worked well in the RV, no malfunctions or difficulties at all. Beds were comfy and Thor drove perfectly. So happy with the reasonable price for everything that is included. Thank you so much Jason and Thor for adding to our book of fun memories!!

The absolute perfect RV! The layout lends to a very spacious interior and comfortable trip (even if your spouse packed enough for a month) with all the amenities you could need. Wrap that in a small enough frame to easily navigate busy city streets, parks easily in any parking lot and was extremely fuel efficient considering all the factors. Hosts Brad & Dawn are just amazing people, very communicative with quick responses and thorough with instructions.

We rented La Casa for a long trip from Ontario across to Atlantic Canada with our Great Dane, and it delivered exactly as described. As first time RV renters, we appreciated how responsive Mike was throughout, quick to answer every question and genuinely supportive of us learning the ropes. The vehicle was clean, well maintained, and suited our needs perfectly across thousands of kilometres. We would rent La Casa again without hesitation and recommend it to anyone.

This RV was perfect for our needs. We used in during the month of March and it kept us very warm and comfortable. I don’t drive a lot of long vehicles but this one was easy to drive and with the backup camera, it is super easy to maneuver. Tons of sleeping space, all the amenities, and systems needed to make for an enjoyable time! Would recommend this RV to anyone. Kristine and Mike were a pleasure to deal with.

We rented the Scramper for a week, driving the entire perimeter of Nova Scotia. The RV was clean and stocked with basic utensils, cleaning supplies, towels, sheets, etc. The RV, itself, performed well, even on some very steep and narrow roads. Remember, you aren't driving a VW bug, so getting out of some narrow spaces and full parking lots can be a challenge, but the Scramper has a camera that engages when backing up, which helps immensely. Before taking off, Megan gave us a thorough tour. That, along with the clear written instruction booklet, made what at first seemed daunting actually quite easy to manage. Finally, we want to give a shout-out to Nova Scotia and their marvelous provincial parks. The Scramper and the provincial parks made for a lovely week.

Is my Windsor RV rental protected if something goes wrong?

Yes, every RVezy booking in Windsor comes with a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can hit Highway 101 with confidence. The protection plan covers physical damage to the RV up to set limits and gives you real peace of mind on the road. Pro tip: consider a higher coverage tier if you're planning a longer Nova Scotia RV trip out to Cape Breton, where gravel side roads and wildlife crossings are more common.

What happens if I need to cancel my RV rental in Windsor?

Booking is low risk. RVezy uses a standardized cancellation policy with a grace period right after you book, plus tiered refund options further from your trip date. Cancellation terms are set by RVezy (not individual hosts), so you'll see the same fair process across every Windsor listing. Life happens, weather flips, ferry schedules shift, work calendars change, so the policy is designed to keep things flexible. Pro tip: book early to lock in your Bay of Fundy dates, then manage any changes from your RVezy dashboard.

Can I bring my dog on an RV rental in Windsor, NS?

Absolutely. Nova Scotia is wonderfully dog-friendly and there are plenty of pet-friendly RV rental Windsor options on RVezy. Just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter to see hosts who welcome four-legged co-pilots. Most Hants County and Annapolis Valley campgrounds allow leashed pets, and nearby spots like the Avon River trails and Smileys Provincial Park are great for walks. Can the RV be delivered to me in Windsor?

Yes, RV delivery in Windsor is one of the most popular options on RVezy, especially for first-timers who'd rather skip driving a big rig through small-town streets. Many local hosts will deliver, level, and set up the RV directly at your campground, family cottage driveway, or a property near Falmouth, Hantsport, or Wolfville. They'll walk you through everything: water, propane, slide-outs, and awnings. Pro tip: filter by Delivery on the search page and ask the host about delivery fees to popular spots like Blomidon Provincial Park, where setup with a view of the Minas Basin is genuinely unforgettable.

How far can I drive on a Windsor RV trip?

Plenty far. Windsor sits at the crossroads of Highway 101 and Highway 14, making it a perfect launchpad for a Windsor RV trip across mainland Nova Scotia. Most RVezy hosts include a daily mileage allowance (often 200 to 300 km/day), and some offer RV rental with unlimited mileage as an add-on, just check the listing or message the host. From Windsor you can reach Halifax in about 1 hour (about 65 km), Peggy's Cove in around 1.5 hours, Cape Breton's Cabot Trail in 4 to 5 hours, and Cavendish, PEI in about 4 hours. Pro tip: confirm mileage with the host upfront if you're planning the full Cabot Trail loop.

Where are the best campgrounds near Windsor, NS?

You're surrounded by great options. Smileys Provincial Park is about 20 minutes north of Windsor and offers wooded, family-friendly sites along the Meander River. Blomidon Provincial Park (about 1 hour away) sits high on red cliffs above the Minas Basin with Bay of Fundy views. Land of Evangeline Family Camping Resort near Grand Pre has full hookups and a pool, and Scotia Pine Campground in Shubenacadie is a popular stop between Windsor and Halifax. Pro tip: provincial park reservations open in spring through the official Nova Scotia Parks system, book early for July and August weekends.

When is the best time for RV camping in Windsor?

Late June through mid-September is the sweet spot for RV camping Windsor adventures, with daytime highs typically around 22 to 26°C (72 to 78°F) and warm, mostly dry weather perfect for Bay of Fundy exploring. July and August are the sunniest, driest months. Shoulder seasons are a smart play too: late May and September bring fewer crowds, lower nightly rates, and beautiful Annapolis Valley colours (early October is peak foliage). Pro tip: time your trip with the Windsor Pumpkin Regatta in mid-October if you want something genuinely local, giant pumpkins turned into boats race on Lake Pesaquid.

I've never rented an RV before. Will I be okay in Windsor?

You're going to do great. Windsor is one of the easier places in Canada for first time renting an RV. Roads are quiet, Highway 101 is wide and well-marked, and most local destinations are within an hour's drive. Every RVezy host gives you a full walkthrough at pickup covering hookups, water, propane, and driving tips, and you can message them anytime during your trip. Pro tip: book a Class C motorhome or smaller travel trailer for your first rental, they drive much like a large van or pickup. Start with one overnight at Smileys Provincial Park to build confidence before heading further out.

What if I have a breakdown or problem on the road?

You're never alone out there. Every RV rental in Windsor booked through RVezy includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection plan, covering things like flat tires, battery issues, lockouts, and towing. If something goes sideways near Wolfville, on the way to Halifax, or out toward Truro, one call gets help dispatched. You can also message your host directly from the RVezy app for quick troubleshooting, they often know their RV's quirks better than anyone. Pro tip: save the roadside assistance number in your phone before you leave the driveway and snap a photo of your RV's licence plate and VIN, it speeds everything up.

Can I take my Windsor RV rental to PEI, New Brunswick, or the US?

Yes to most of it, an RV road trip from Windsor across the Maritimes is one of the best uses of your rental. Many RVezy hosts welcome travel to New Brunswick (about 3 hours to the NB border via Amherst) and Prince Edward Island via the Confederation Bridge (about 3.5 hours) or the Wood Islands ferry from Caribou. Some hosts allow cross-border travel into Maine and the New England states, just confirm directly with the host before booking since insurance terms apply. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals. Pro tip: build a loop with Hopewell Rocks, NB and Cavendish, PEI for a classic Maritimes RV trip.

How much does fuel cost for an RV trip from Windsor?

Fuel is the biggest variable on any RV trip, but Nova Scotia is small, which keeps your bill manageable. Gas in the Windsor area typically runs around $1.50 to $1.80 CAD per litre (prices are regulated weekly by the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board, so they're predictable). A Class C motorhome averages roughly 18 to 22 L/100 km, so a 500 km loop through the Annapolis Valley might use about $135 to $200 in fuel. Pro tip: fill up in Windsor or near Halifax rather than tiny rural stations, and note that fuel prices are reset every Friday.

How far ahead should I book a campsite near Windsor?

For peak summer (July and August), aim to book provincial park sites 6 to 8 weeks ahead. Long weekends like Natal Day fill up fastest. Nova Scotia Provincial Parks open reservations in spring each year through the official Nova Scotia Parks reservation system at parks.novascotia.ca. Private campgrounds like Land of Evangeline often have more last-minute availability. Pro tip: use the notification feature on the provincial parks reservation site to get an email the moment a cancellation opens up at Blomidon or Smileys, it works surprisingly well for shoulder-season midweek stays.
parks.novascotia.ca/make-reservation

What are the roads like for driving an RV in and around Windsor?

Driving conditions in Windsor are forgiving. Highway 101 is a divided four-lane that runs right through town, and Highway 14 toward Chester is a relaxed two-lane country road. If you head east toward Cape Breton, note that the Cobequid Pass toll on Highway 104 applies to passenger vehicles and RVs. Winter can bring snow, ice, and the occasional wind warning along the Bay of Fundy, and wildlife (deer and moose) are most active at dawn and dusk on rural roads. Pro tip: avoid driving a Class A through downtown Halifax, stick to Bayers Lake or Cole Harbour exits, or let the host deliver if you're nervous about city RV driving.

What facilities will I find at campgrounds near Windsor?

Most campgrounds near Windsor offer the full RV setup you'd hope for. Private parks like Land of Evangeline and Scotia Pine have 30/50 amp electrical, water and sewer hookups, wifi, laundry, and dump stations. Nova Scotia Provincial Parks like Smileys and Blomidon offer unserviced sites, potable water fills, and dump stations (included with your stay). Pro tip: if your RV doesn't have a built-in dump option mid-trip, look for sani-dump stations along Highway 102 between Windsor and Halifax. Always top up fresh water before heading to the Bay of Fundy, some viewpoint pull-offs have no services nearby.

What's included inside a typical RV rental in Windsor?

Most Windsor RVezy rentals come well-equipped: real beds (sleeping 4 to 8), a kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, and cookware, a private bathroom with shower and toilet, climate control (furnace and AC), and seatbelted seats for travel. Many also include a TV, generator or solar, and an outdoor awning. A motorhome rental Windsor host will usually offer linens, towels, and basic kitchen supplies as standard or as an add-on. Pro tip: check the listing's amenity list and message the host before booking if you need specific gear like a high chair, BBQ, or starter propane tank, most are happy to include extras.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Windsor%2C%20Nova%20Scotia

What add-ons and pickup options are available?

Lots of useful ones. Common Windsor host add-ons include bedding and linens packages ($30 to $75), kitchen kits, generators, portable BBQs, bike racks, and extra kilometre packages. A campervan rental Windsor host might also offer paddleboards or beach gear. Pickup is usually at the host's home in Windsor, Falmouth, or Hantsport, with delivery available to local campgrounds for a flat fee or per-kilometre rate. Mileage policies vary by listing, you'll see the daily allowance and overage rate clearly before you book. Pro tip: bundle delivery, setup, and a bedding kit if it's your first time, the difference between a small add-on cost and a stress-free arrival is huge.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Windsor%2C%20Nova%20Scotia

How does payment and the security deposit work?

Easy and transparent: you pay securely through RVezy with a credit card, no cash exchanges with the host. Your booking total covers the nightly rate, RVezy service fees, your chosen protection plan, and any add-ons. A refundable security deposit is held (the amount is set by the host and shown before you book), and it's released back to your card after the trip once the host confirms there's no damage. Pro tip: take a quick walkaround video at pickup and dropoff, timestamp it, and share with the host through the RVezy message thread. It's the single best way to avoid any deposit disputes on your Windsor booking.

Can I rent an RV in Windsor during winter?

Yes, winter RV rentals are available in Windsor through select RVezy hosts, and it's a genuinely magical way to experience the Annapolis Valley. Winters here are cold (January averages around -10°C overnight and near 0°C daytime) with regular snow, so look for listings marked as four-season with heated holding tanks, propane furnaces, and skirting compatibility. Many hosts will deliver and set the RV up at a serviced campground or private driveway with shore power, which is the easiest way to stay warm. Pro tip: Ski Martock is just minutes from Windsor, pair an RV stay with a ski day for one of the best off-season RV rental Nova Scotia experiences you can have.
