We had such an incredible experience renting this trailer! It was spotless, spacious, and incredibly comfortable — absolutely perfect for me and my 2- and 5-year-old. You can tell a lot of thought and care went into making it feel welcoming and stress-free for families. The trailer was stocked with so many thoughtful essentials that made our trip even easier, from shampoo and hair products to bug spray and other little extras you don’t usually expect. It truly felt like everything had been considered. Beth was absolutely amazing from start to finish. She was attentive, quick to respond, and went completely above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. She even came directly to our campsite to show me how to use the thermostat, which was so appreciated. Her kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made the whole experience seamless and enjoyable. I would 100% rent from Beth again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a clean, well-equipped trailer and exceptional customer service!

I've never rented an RV before. Will I be okay driving around Asphodel-Norwood?

You've got this, and Asphodel-Norwood is one of the easier places in Ontario to learn. Roads like Highway 7 and County Road 38 are wide, flat, and lightly trafficked compared to anywhere near the GTA. Every RVezy host gives you a full walkthrough at pickup, covering driving, hookups, slide-outs, and dump procedures, and you'll have 24/7 roadside assistance through your protection plan. If it's your first time renting an RV, start with a smaller Class C motorhome or a 20-foot travel trailer for easier handling. Do a practice loop on the quiet country roads around Westwood and Birdsall before tackling your first campground.

Your host is also typically just a phone call or message away for quick questions, like how to relight a pilot light or reset the inverter. If you break down on Highway 7 or somewhere quieter like Asphodel 7th Line, help can be dispatched directly to your location. Save the RVezy support number and your host's number in your phone before pickup, and snap a photo of the RV's VIN and licence plate to speed up any roadside call.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Asphodel-Norwood?

For summer weekends, book five months ahead to the day, that's when Ontario Parks' rolling reservation window opens at 7 a.m. ET on the Ontario Parks Reservation Service. Ferris Provincial Park and nearby Presqu'ile fill fast for July and August Saturdays. Private parks like Crowe Bridge or Hastings Village Park typically take bookings 6 to 8 weeks ahead and have more last-minute flexibility. For the Norwood Fall Fair weekend in October, lock in your campground (and your RV rental) by late July. Midweek arrivals (Sunday through Thursday) are usually wide open even in peak season, perfect for a quieter, cheaper Kawarthas getaway.

Driving an RV around Asphodel-Norwood is refreshingly relaxed. Highway 7 runs straight through the township with gentle grades and good shoulders, ideal for motorhomes. County roads like the Asphodel 7th Line and County Road 38 are paved but narrower, watch for farm equipment and the occasional deer at dawn and dusk. Avoid heading deep into Kawartha cottage country on Friday afternoons in July when traffic backs up from the GTA. Check the Ontario 511 service for live road conditions, especially during shoulder-season trips when an early snowfall can surprise you near Apsley.
