2026 Grand Design Travel Trailer
This was an entirely new experience for us and we could not be happier with the service and the beautiful travel trailer. Cheryl communicated beforehand so we knew exactly what to expect. They set it up quickly and explained everything these old first timers needed to know to enjoy our time. The trailer is spacious, comfortable and immaculate, it is well equipped with everything we needed. Everything worked perfectly. We spent each evening in the heated massaging recliner chairs to relax before crawling into the comfortable bed. The three couples we were with were envious of how nice our unit was. We may be ‘fighting’ with two of those couples to see who gets it next time. I would rate our experience a 10. Would recommend Chrryl without any hesitation

The RV was in good condition and clean. I was pleased with the owners attitude and would be willing to rent from him again for that area of the country. I returned the RV early due to weather conditions, not directly relating to any problems with the RV. I did discuss with the owner some minor issues that I'm sure he will look into before future rentals.

Trailer was exactly as described and worked well for our situation. Delivery person was awesome and answered our questions during initial setup. Delivery and pickup service was great especially since we have little experience pulling a trailer through hilly terrain.

When is the best time to plan a Garfield RV trip?

Late April through mid-June and September into October are the sweet spot for RV camping in Garfield. Spring brings dogwoods, redbuds, and lake temperatures warming into the 70s, while fall delivers Ozark foliage and crisp 60 to 70°F days, ideal for hiking and campfires. Summer (June through August) is hot and humid with highs near 90°F, so book a rig with strong A/C and a 30 or 50 amp shore hookup. Winter is mild but chilly, with January lows around 28°F. Lake levels peak in spring, making it prime season for largemouth bass fishing.

What should I budget for fuel on a Garfield RV trip?

Arkansas has some of the lower gas prices in the country, so fuel won't break the bank on your Garfield RV adventure. Expect roughly 8 to 10 miles per gallon for a Class A, 10 to 14 MPG for a Class C, 18 to 22 MPG for a campervan (Class B), and 12 to 16 MPG when towing a travel trailer with a pickup. For a typical 200-mile loop through Beaver Lake, Eureka Springs, and back, budget around $70 to $110 in fuel for a midsize motorhome at current prices. Top up at the Casey's or Harps in Pea Ridge before heading out, prices climb a bit closer to tourist hubs like Eureka Springs.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Garfield?

For summer weekends and holidays at Beaver Lake, book your campsite 4 to 6 months ahead, federal COE campgrounds like Indian Creek, Lost Bridge North, Lost Bridge South, and Dam Site release reservations on Recreation.gov on a 6-month rolling window and the lakefront sites disappear fast. For spring and fall weekday trips, 2 to 4 weeks of lead time is usually plenty. Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day weekends should be locked in by February. Pro tip: if Indian Creek is full, check Hickory Creek or Horseshoe Bend on the south end of Beaver Lake, both have great availability and similar amenities.

What are the driving conditions like around Garfield?

Driving an RV around Garfield is manageable, even for newer drivers. Highway 62 is a wide, well-maintained two-lane that runs right through town, and Highway 127 down to Lost Bridge has gentle curves with good shoulders. Trickier stretches include Highway 187 across Beaver Dam (narrow with a sharp turn at the dam itself) and the winding climbs near Eureka Springs, where rigs over 30 feet should take it slow. Watch for sudden thunderstorms April through June, when winds can kick up fast on the lake, and stay alert for deer at dawn and dusk along rural county roads. Otherwise, it's scenic Ozark cruising.

Indian Creek, Lost Bridge South, and Dam Site have electric hookups (most 30-amp, some 50-amp), potable water spigots, flush toilets, heated showers, and on-site dump stations. You'll find fresh-water fill stations near every campground entrance, plus boat ramps, fire rings, and picnic tables at each site. Bring a 25-foot drinking-water hose and a basic surge protector, and you're set for RV camping in Garfield.

How do payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is simple and secure, you pay through the RVezy platform with a credit or debit card at the time of booking, and your funds are held safely until the trip begins. To avoid any deposit issues, take date-stamped photos at pickup and drop-off, refill propane and fuel as agreed, dump your tanks before return, and give the interior a quick tidy.
