RV & camper rentals in Florence, MS

RV rental in Florence is one of the most affordable ways to explore central Mississippi. Travel trailers typically start around $90 to $130 per night, while motorhome rental Florence options generally run $150 to $250 per night depending on size and season. Many hosts offer weekly discounts of 10 to 20 percent, so a week-long Florence RV trip often costs less than a comparable hotel stay near Jackson. To find a cheap RV rental Florence, filter for travel trailers, avoid spring festival weekends, and ask hosts about midweek rates. Bundling delivery to a nearby park like Wendy Oaks RV Resort can also save you the stress of towing on a first trip.

Your everyday driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Florence. Mississippi does not require a commercial driver's license or special endorsement for motorhomes or travel trailers used recreationally, so Class B campervans, Class C motorhomes, and even larger Class A coaches are all allowed. To book on RVezy you need to be at least 25 years old, and your ID is verified securely through the platform at checkout, so there is no paperwork to print or notarize. Visiting from outside the US? Bring your home country license plus an International Driving Permit and you are set to roll down Highway 49.

Every RV rental in Florence booked through RVezy comes with a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance included, so you can hit Highway 49 with real peace of mind. The protection plan covers physical damage to the RV during your trip, and you choose your coverage level during checkout based on how much peace of mind you want. That means a fender bump at a tight Jackson gas station or a hailstorm rolling through central Mississippi won't blow up your vacation budget. Review your coverage choice before confirming, and snap walk-around photos at pickup to make any future claim quick and painless.

Booking is low-risk. RVezy sets a clear cancellation policy on every reservation (hosts do not set their own), and there is a money-back grace period right after you book so you can lock in your dates with confidence. Refund eligibility after that depends on how far out you cancel and the circumstances. Full policy details are in your booking confirmation and on the RVezy Help Center, and customer support is reachable before, during, and after your trip. Book early for spring weekends in Florence, since local RVs go fast during festival season.

Yes, finding a pet-friendly RV rental Florence is easy. Just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter on RVezy and you will see listings where dogs (and sometimes cats) are welcome. Many central Mississippi hosts are dog lovers themselves and even leave bowls, leashes, or treats in the RV. Once you are on the road, your pup will love the shaded loops at Goshen Springs Campground on the Ross Barnett Reservoir and the wide-open trails at LeFleur's Bluff State Park just 15 minutes north in Jackson. Message the host before booking to confirm pet fees and any size or breed notes so check-in is seamless.

Yes, RV delivery Florence is one of the most popular options on RVezy, especially for first-timers who would rather skip towing on Highway 49 or I-20. Many local hosts will drop off, level, and fully set up the RV at nearby spots like Wendy Oaks RV Resort, Goshen Springs Campground on the Ross Barnett Reservoir, Timberlake Campground in Brandon, or even your own driveway in Florence, Richland, or Pearl. They will walk you through the slide-outs, AC, water system, and propane before handing over the keys, so you do not have to figure anything out alone. Filter for Delivery on RVezy and ask the host for a flat-rate quote to your campground of choice.

You have plenty of range for a great Mississippi RV road trip from Florence. Most hosts offer a daily mileage allowance (often 100 to 150 miles per day) and many list RV rental with unlimited mileage, especially for longer bookings, so look for that filter when searching. From Florence you are about 20 minutes to downtown Jackson, 45 minutes to Vicksburg National Military Park, around 2 hours to Natchez along the historic Natchez Trace Parkway, 3 hours to the Gulf Coast at Gulfport and Biloxi, and roughly 3.5 hours to New Orleans. If you are planning a multi-state loop, message the host with your route before booking so they can price out the best mileage package.

Spring (mid-March through May) and fall (late September through early November) are the sweet spots for an RV trip in central Mississippi, with daytime highs in the comfortable 65 to 80 degree range and cool sleeping weather at night. Summer is doable but hot and humid, with July and August highs around the low 90s and frequent afternoon thunderstorms, so look for RVs with strong AC and shaded campsites. Winters are mild (50s by day, 30s at night), making Florence one of the few US destinations where RVing is genuinely pleasant year-round. October is especially nice: festival season is in full swing, the Mississippi State Fair runs in Jackson, and humidity finally breaks.

Yes, first time renting an RV in Florence is genuinely easier than most people expect. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on orientation at pickup, walking you through driving, leveling, hookups, slide-outs, the water system, and propane, so you leave knowing exactly how everything works. You can message the host with questions anytime through the platform, and 24/7 roadside assistance is built into your booking. Central Mississippi is a great place to learn: the terrain around Florence is flat, highways like US-49 and I-20 are wide, and short hops to Goshen Springs or a nearby private park let you ease in without a big drive. Ask for a delivered, pre-set-up trailer for your first trip, all the fun, none of the towing.

You are covered. 24/7 roadside assistance is included with every RVezy booking, so a flat tire on the Natchez Trace, a dead battery at Goshen Springs, or a tow needed off I-20 is just one phone call away. For non-emergency questions, your host is your first lifeline (they know their RV best) and can usually troubleshoot AC, generator, or slide-out hiccups by phone or text. If something bigger comes up, RVezy customer support is reachable throughout your trip to coordinate help and keep things moving. Save the roadside assistance number to your phone before you leave Florence, and snap a photo of the RV's VIN and license plate at pickup for faster service.

Yes, an RV road trip from Florence is one of the best ways to explore the South. Most hosts allow travel throughout the continental US, so popular loops include the Gulf Coast (Biloxi, Mobile, and 30A in Florida), New Orleans (about 3.5 hours south), Memphis and Graceland (about 3.5 to 4 hours north up I-55), and the full Natchez Trace Parkway to Nashville. Travel into Canada is sometimes allowed with host approval and insurance confirmation, so message before booking. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance and protection coverage do not extend there. Share your full route with the host upfront so mileage, one-way logistics, and any add-ons can be locked in.

Plan smart and fuel won't break your Florence RV trip budget. Class C motorhomes typically get 8 to 12 miles per gallon, Class A coaches 6 to 10, and a truck pulling a travel trailer 10 to 14, with most running on regular gasoline (larger diesel pushers excepted). Mississippi consistently has some of the lowest gas prices in the country, so fill up before you cross state lines. For a typical 300-mile weekend loop from Florence to Vicksburg and back, budget roughly $100 to $150 in fuel for a midsize motorhome. Stations along US-49 and I-20 near Florence are usually the cheapest fuel stops in the area.

For the best sites, book 2 to 3 months ahead for spring and fall weekends, and 4 to 6 months ahead if you want a waterfront spot at Goshen Springs Campground or Timberlake Campground on the Ross Barnett Reservoir, both managed through the Pearl River Valley Water Supply District (TheRez.ms.gov) reservation system. Mississippi State Parks like LeFleur's Bluff and Roosevelt State Park use the MDWFP reservation system at mdwfp.com and open bookings up to 12 months in advance. Private parks around Florence typically take direct bookings by phone or website. Midweek arrivals (Sunday through Wednesday) almost always have availability, even in peak season, perfect for a spontaneous campervan rental Florence getaway.

Driving an RV in and around Florence is refreshingly low-stress. The terrain is flat, the main routes (US-49, US-51, I-20, and I-55) are wide and well-maintained by the Mississippi Department of Transportation, and traffic outside of Jackson rush hour is light. Watch for summer thunderstorms that can bring heavy rain and gusty winds (usually quick to pass), and pull off in a parking lot if visibility drops. Avoid taking tall Class A rigs through downtown Jackson's older underpasses, sticking to the interstate loop on I-220 and I-55 is easier. Tornado season peaks in spring, so download a weather app like NOAA Weather Radar before your trip. The scenic Natchez Trace Parkway is the dreamiest RV drive in the region, with no commercial traffic and a 50 mph speed limit.

Most campgrounds near Florence offer full hookups (30 or 50 amp electric, water, and sewer at the site) or at minimum water and electric with a central dump station. Goshen Springs and Timberlake on the Ross Barnett Reservoir have full-hookup paved pads, bathhouses, boat ramps, and swim areas. LeFleur's Bluff State Park has electric and water hookups and a dump station. Potable water fill stations and dump stations are easy to find at any of these parks, and most accept day-use dumping for a small fee even if you are not staying. Confirm your RV's amp service (30 vs 50) with your host before booking so you do not need a last-minute adapter run.

You will be impressed with how loaded up most Florence RV rentals are. Expect comfortable sleeping for 2 to 8 (queen beds, bunks, and convertible dinettes), a full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, and basic cookware, a bathroom with toilet and shower, climate control with roof AC and a furnace, and seatbelts for travel passengers in motorhomes. Many hosts include outdoor chairs, a grill, levelers, hoses, and a starter kit of toilet paper and dish soap. Generators, solar, awnings, and TVs are common, while reliable WiFi typically requires a personal hotspot since rural Mississippi cell coverage varies. Check each listing's amenity list and message the host if you need specifics like a CPAP-friendly inverter or a pack-and-play for the little ones.

There are plenty of helpful add-ons that make life on the road easier. Common options on RVezy listings around Florence include delivery and setup (a big help for first-timers heading to Goshen Springs or a nearby private park), generator use, linen and kitchen packages, propane refills, bike racks, outdoor grills, and even pre-stocked firewood. Pickup is usually at the host's home in Florence, Richland, Brandon, or Pearl, and drop-off is typically same-location with a flexible window. Mileage policies vary by host: some offer unlimited mileage for week-long trips, while others charge per mile over the included daily allowance. Bundling delivery plus the linen package on your first trip means you arrive to a made-up RV and skip the learning curve entirely.

Payment is simple and secure. You pay through RVezy with a credit or debit card at the time of booking, with no cash or wire transfers to the host. A refundable security deposit is held (not charged) on your card before pickup to cover incidentals like excess mileage, late return, or minor wear, and it is released back after the host confirms the RV came home in good shape. Amounts vary by RV size and value, typically in the range of several hundred to a couple thousand dollars for Florence-area rentals. To avoid surprises, do a quick walk-around video at pickup and drop-off, return the RV with a full fuel tank and emptied tanks if required, and stay within your mileage allowance. Ask the host upfront about their dump and fuel return preferences so checkout is a breeze.
