I took my 16 year old son and 2 adult friends to there first NFL game and to watch our Oilers in Seattle in late November. Dave's RV was the perfect accommodation for the 3 days! What was awesome was the communication with Dave prior to the rental. He answered all questions and concerns in a timely fashion. In this day and age where customer service seems to be almost no existent Dave went above and beyond. Dave went through the pre trip check with me and my son and that interaction showed he cared about us having a positive experience. With any type of rental things could go wrong, nothing did for us, but I felt reassured Dave would be there if anything did, peace of mind! RV was just what we needed for this trip. Thanks again Dave!!

Mark was a wonderful host. This was our first time traveling by RV and he was extremely patient and accommodating with all of our questions. The RV was clean when we picked it up, stocked with household items, such as; dishes, utensils, hand soap and toilet paper. The RV is spacious and comfortable and was the perfect "house on wheels" to travel in. We needed something that would get us up north fast because of an extremely ill family member, and this made our road time so much shorter than having to stop and get a hotel. We would highly recommend Mark as a host and would rent his RV again!

What license do I need to rent an RV in Manchester, WA?

Good news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Manchester. Washington does not require a commercial driver's license (CDL) or any special endorsement for personal RVs, including Class A motorhomes and fifth wheels under 26,000 pounds. You will need to be at least 25 to meet RVezy's approved driver requirements, and complete a quick ID verification through the platform when you book. Visiting from outside the U.S.? Bring your home-country license plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) and you are set. Most first-timers are surprised by how simple the paperwork really is.

Is RV rental insurance and roadside assistance included for my Manchester trip?

Yes, every RVezy booking in Manchester includes a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can focus on the Puget Sound views and not the what-ifs. The protection plan covers most damages to the vehicle, and during the booking process you choose the coverage level that fits your trip. If you get a flat on Beach Drive East or need a jump-start near the Southworth Ferry Terminal, one phone call gets help dispatched any time, day or night. This gives renters real financial peace of mind for the entire trip.

What if I need to cancel my Manchester RV rental?

Booking your Manchester RV trip is low-risk because RVezy sets the cancellation policy across the platform, not the individual host. There is a money-back grace period right after booking, with additional flexibility based on how far out from your trip you cancel. Because Pacific Northwest weather can shift quickly between ferry sailings, it pays to book early and adjust later if needed. You will find the current cancellation details on the RVezy website during checkout, and the support team is available before, during, and after your trip to help.

Can I bring my dog on a pet-friendly RV rental in Manchester?

Can the RV be delivered to my campsite in Manchester?

Yes, RV delivery is one of the most loved features on RVezy, especially for first-timers nervous about backing a 30-foot rig onto a forested site. Many local hosts will drive the RV to Manchester State Park, Illahee State Park, or a private driveway in Port Orchard, then level it, hook up water and electric, and walk you through every system before they leave. Use the Delivery filter when searching and enter your destination. Delivery fees typically range from $2 to $4 per mile from the host's location. It is the easiest way to start a Manchester RV trip with zero stress.

How far can I drive, and what's the mileage policy?

Most Manchester hosts include 100 to 150 free miles per night, and some offer RV rental with unlimited mileage, which is perfect for longer Pacific Northwest road trips. When is the best time of year for an RV trip in Manchester, WA?

Manchester sits in a Pacific Northwest sweet spot, so the best window for a Manchester RV trip is late June through mid-September, when daytime highs run in the mid-70s and rainfall drops to under 2 inches per month, with long evenings of golden light over Puget Sound. May and late September are excellent shoulder seasons with milder crowds and better rates. Winter is mild for the Kitsap Peninsula, with mid-40s temperatures and occasional rain, and Manchester State Park stays open year-round on a first-come, first-served basis from late fall through early spring. Book a July weekend at least 6 months out, since campgrounds and ferries fill quickly.

Can I take my Manchester RV rental on a longer road trip or across the border?

Yes, an RV road trip from Manchester opens up some of the best scenery in North America. Popular routes include Olympic National Park (about 90 miles to the Hoh Rain Forest), Mount Rainier National Park (about 110 miles via the Tacoma Narrows Bridge), the North Cascades Highway loop (around 180 miles), and the Oregon Coast via I-5 (about 200 miles to Astoria). Cross-border trips into Canada (Vancouver, BC is roughly 170 miles north) may be allowed, but confirm with your host first since insurance coverage varies by listing. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals. Message your host before booking to align on your route.

What kind of fuel mileage should I expect, and how much will gas cost?

Budgeting fuel for your Kitsap Peninsula adventure is straightforward. Most Class C motorhomes get 8 to 12 miles per gallon, campervans and Class B rigs do 14 to 20 mpg, and travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle (often 10 to 15 mpg). Washington gas prices typically run higher than the national average, with stations in Port Orchard and Bremerton offering competitive prices near Manchester. For a 200-mile weekend loop in a Class C, plan on roughly $80 to $120 in fuel at recent Puget Sound prices. Fill up before heading toward Olympic National Park, where prices climb sharply.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Manchester?

Booking early is the secret to scoring the best campgrounds near Manchester. Washington State Parks, including Manchester State Park, Illahee, and Scenic Beach, open reservations up to 9 months in advance, and summer weekends (especially July 4th and Labor Day) book out within hours of opening. For a flexible July or August trip, aim to reserve at least 4 to 6 months out. Outside peak season, Manchester State Park operates first-come, first-served, so weekday arrivals are usually wide open. Set a calendar alert for the 9-month-out date at 7 a.m. Pacific to grab the waterfront-view loops.

What are local driving conditions like around Manchester?

Driving around Manchester is refreshingly low-stress compared to Seattle. The town sits on the quiet east side of the Kitsap Peninsula, with two-lane roads like Beach Drive East and Colchester Drive winding past evergreens and Puget Sound viewpoints. There are no steep mountain passes, but a few things to know: Highway 16 has moderate traffic during weekday commutes near the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, and the Southworth, Bremerton, and Bainbridge ferries all charge by vehicle length, so longer rigs cost more and reservations are smart. Watch for occasional fog along Rich Passage in spring and fall mornings. Most RV rentals in the area handle these roads easily, even for first-time drivers.
wsdot.com/travel/

What amenities will I find at campgrounds near Manchester, and where can I dump and refill water?

Local campgrounds offer a great mix of amenities. Manchester State Park has flush toilets, hot coin-operated showers, drinking water spigots, a dump station near the park entrance, and 15 sites with partial hookups (water and 30-amp electric). Illahee State Park and Scenic Beach State Park have similar setups with potable water and dump stations. For full hookups including sewer, Gig Harbor RV Resort is a popular option. A Discover Pass ($11.50 daily or $30 annual) is required for day-use parking at Washington State Parks; overnight campers do not need it for their reserved site. Top off fresh water before leaving Manchester State Park, since some smaller state parks in the area have limited fill stations.

What's inside a typical RV rental in Manchester, and will it have a bathroom and Wi-Fi?

You will be impressed by how well-equipped Manchester RV rentals are. Most Class C motorhomes and travel trailers on RVezy sleep 4 to 8 people and come with a full kitchen (fridge, stove, microwave, sink), an enclosed bathroom with toilet and shower, a dinette that converts to a bed, climate control with furnace and air conditioning, and seatbelts for safe travel. Many include TVs and Bluetooth speakers, and some hosts add mobile Wi-Fi hotspots or generators as paid add-ons, useful since cell coverage can be spotty in parts of Manchester State Park. Campervan rental Manchester options are more compact but still include sleeping, cooking, and often a portable toilet. Check each listing's amenity list before booking.

What add-ons and pickup options are available for my Manchester RV?

Manchester hosts offer some genuinely useful extras to make your motorhome rental Manchester trip smoother. Common add-ons include camping chairs and tables ($15 to $30), bedding and linen packages ($30 to $60), kitchen kits with pots and dishes ($25 to $50), generators ($25 to $50 per day), portable Wi-Fi ($10 to $20 per day), bike racks, and propane refills. Pickup is typically at the host's home in the Manchester, Port Orchard, or Bremerton area, with delivery available to local campgrounds for a per-mile fee. Mileage policies vary by listing, with most including 100 to 150 free miles per night. Bundle add-ons during booking, hosts often discount them when ordered together.

How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is straightforward and secure. When you book an RV in Manchester through RVezy, you pay through the platform with a credit card, never directly to the host in cash, which protects both sides. A refundable security deposit (typically $500 to $1,500 depending on the RV) is placed as a hold on your card around the time of pickup and released back to you a few days after a smooth return. To avoid any hiccups, do the walkaround inspection with your host at both pickup and dropoff, take photos, and follow the mileage, fuel, and cleanliness terms on your listing. Return the RV with a full propane tank and clean interior to ensure your full deposit is released quickly.
