Big Bear's mountain roads, developed campgrounds, and lakeside pullouts make it an excellent destination for towable rigs and relaxed outdoor travel. Campground access is straightforward from the main approaches, and major routes like Highway 18 lead directly into the area with well-marked exits and turnoffs. Many RV-friendly sites offer wide pads, level parking, and hookups, and public lots near recreation areas provide places to park and set up for a day. Unhitching at camp gives you the flexibility to leave your rig secure and take out-of-camp excursions without towing your trailer around.
